Est-il un Schnauzer ? Est-il un Amstaff ? Il est un Schnaustaff ! Notre jeune Amstaff à poils longs, avec une barbe majestueuse, qui vous fera donner un second regard à Drago ! Même ses pieds ont des poils longs ! Ce n'est pas la première fois que Drago est au refuge, il a déjà été avec nous une fois en raison de la négligence de la famille, mais la dernière fois ils sont quand même venus le chercher. Cette fois-ci non plus et Drago a été laissé absolument brisé dans le refuge, d'une maison (pas une bonne, mais tout de même) à un chenil solitaire, Drago s'est fermé à cause du choc. Après avoir commencé à s'habituer à sa nouvelle réalité, Drago n'avait d'autre choix que de sortir de sa coquille et profiter de ce qu'il lui restait à profiter - l'attention des soignants, les promenades avec les bénévoles, une course dans le parc par jour. Il semble qu'une chose traumatisante soit survenue avec Drago concernant un collier - nous ne savons pas ce qui a été fait ou ce qui s'est passé mais il a peur des colliers. Il permet calmement, silencieusement, qu'on lui mette un harnais, un très gentil garçon, mais si vous sortez un collier, il veut fuir ou cesser de vivre. C'est très triste, mais bon, il ira parfaitement bien avec un bon harnais ! Drago marche très bien en laisse, surtout dans un environnement qu'il connaît, et reste à côté de vous comme un bon garçon. Dans une situation stressante, comme passer soudainement du refuge à la ville avec des inconnus, il peut tirer un peu, à cause du stress de l'inconnu. Il monte très bien dans la voiture et en ville, il ne réagit pas aux autres personnes, voitures, enfants mais reste apparemment neutre face à ces stress. Bien sûr, il vient d'un environnement stressant avec beaucoup de membres de la famille et un environnement bruyant, donc il doit être habitué à cela. Pendant ses promenades, Drago ne réagit pas aux chiens la plupart du temps et marche calmement, il peut aboyer contre certains chiens plus réactifs ou dominants, mais en même temps, il marche aussi avec un autre chien mâle social. Drago aime les friandises, il viendra vers vous, s'assoira, se tiendra debout, donnera la patte et aboiera pour une friandise. Drago accompagnera poliment votre cafétéria sans demander rien, sauf si vous lui offrez clairement quelque chose. Alors qu'il marche généralement calmement et silencieusement, peut-être aussi parce qu'il est triste, lorsqu'il réalise que vous l'aimez et que vous êtes là pour prendre soin de lui, il s'illumine et commence à célébrer avec des courses joyeuses et offre son derrière pour que vous le grattiez ! Pour Drago, nous recherchons une maison stable, calme avec des routines quotidiennes et activités ensemble, afin qu'il n'expérimente plus jamais le chaos et les drames dans sa vie. Une maison avec des enfants éduqués pourrait convenir, car il est habitué aux enfants déjà, et Drago serait également heureux avec différents scénarios comme vivre en appartement ou en maison, bien sûr comme pour la plupart des chiens, un jardin serait paradisiaque. Drago ADORE refroidir son corps dans une piscine, et se frotter sur le bord de la piscine pour chiens, nous espérons très fort qu'il ait une maison avec une petite piscine dans le jardin ou peut-être la possibilité d'aller nager dans un lac, une rivière ou la mer... Sa hauteur à l'épaule est de 58 cm.

Is he a Schnauzer? Is he an Amstaff? He’s a Schnaustaff! Our unique long-haired Amstaff boy, with majestic moustache, making sure you’ll give Drago a second look! Even he’s toes have long hairs! This is not Drago’s first time in the shelter, he has already been with us once due to the carelessness of the family, but the last time they still came to pick him up. This time not anymore and Drago was left absolutely heartbroken in the shelter, from a home (not a good one, but still) to a lonely kennel, Drago shut down from the shock. After starting to get used to his new reality, Drago had no choice but to come out of his shell and enjoy the little that he has left to enjoy - the attention of te caretakers, the walks with the volunteers, the one run in the park a day. It seems that something traumatizing has happened with Drago involving a collar - we do not know what has been done or what has happened but he is terrified of collars. He lets you put on a harness so calmly, so quietly, a very polite boy, but if you pull out a collar, he wants to run or his life. This is very sad, but okey, he will be perfectly fine with a good harness as well! Drago walks very well on the leash especially in an environment that he is familiar with, and stays by your side like a good boy. In a new stressy situation, like suddenly going from the shelter to the town with strangers, he can pull a bit, from the stress of unknown. He jumps very nicely into the car and in the town he does not react to other people, cars, children but stays seemingly neutral about such stressors. Well, he is coming from a stressy home enviroment with many family members and a loud surrounding, so he must be used to this. On his walks, Drago does not react to most dogs and just walks by calmly, he can bark at some more reactive or dominant dogs, but at the same time, he also goes walking with another social male dog. Drago loves to snack, he will come to you, sit, stand, give paw and bark for a treat. Drago will politely accompany you to a cafeteria without demanding anything from you, unless you clearly offer something to him. While he usually walks calmly and quietly, maybe also just because he is sad, then when he realises that you love him and are there to take care of him, he brightens up and starts to celebrate with joyful sprints and offering his behind for you to scratch! For Drago we are looking for a stable, calm home with set daily routines and activities all together, so he would not have to experience chaos and drama in his life again. A home with eduated children could be fine, as he is experienced with children already, and Drago would also be happy with different scenarios like living in an apartment or a house, of course like for most dogs, a garden would be heavenly. Drago LOVES to cool his body in a pool, and rub himself on the edge of the doggie pool, we verymuch wish for him a home with a little pool in the backyard or maybe a possibiity to go swimming in a lake, river or seaside…. His shoulder height is 58cm.
