Si vous êtes une personne qui apprécie un chien qui fait des amis partout où il va, Hartley fera fondre votre cœur chaque jour. Il est merveilleusement sympathique avec les autres chiens, se laisse caresser comme le gros ours en peluche qu'il est et traite chaque nouvelle personne comme un vieil ami. Il est curieux sans fin, adore explorer de nouveaux environnements et est dans son élément absolu lorsqu'il utilise son incroyable nez de chien de chasse pendant les jeux de piste ou de repérage olfactif. Les trajets en voiture sont un jeu d'enfant avec Hartley : il saute directement dans le coffre sans hésiter. Vous aurez juste besoin d'un espace suffisamment grand pour accueillir sa silhouette impressionnante et le garder en sécurité, surtout car il peut être un peu farceur et animé avec sa queue joyeuse pendant les trajets. Si vous cherchez un clown un peu trop grand, joyeux, affectueux, qui illuminera vos journées, vous fera sourire et sera un compagnon fidèle à la fois pour vous et pour votre chien résident, Hartley pourrait être exactement celui que vous recherchez. À trois ans et demi, ce Foxhound est une superbe combinaison de charme drôle, de curiosité sans limite et d'enthousiasme classique de chien de chasse. C'est un géant gentil qui n'a pas encore réalisé à quel point il est grand, donc il cherche une famille avec des enfants du collège, qui sont confiants face à un chien qui bondit de joie. Hartley est le plus heureux quand la vie a un rythme doux. Il prospère dans les zones calmes où il peut suivre son nez sans se sentir submergé. C'est un jeune homme solide en laisse, donc il cherche quelqu'un qui puisse profiter de son travail positif tout en maintenant les choses stables et sécurisées. Il n'aime pas être laissé seul, donc tout départ devra être introduit très progressivement. Il pourrait également prospérer dans un établissement extérieur adapté avec un autre chien, ce qui pourrait être une belle étape vers un foyer plus tard. Et parlons des autres chiens : Hartley les adore absolument. Il doit vivre avec un autre chien car il tire un immense réconfort et confiance de la compagnie canine.

If you are someone who enjoys a dog who makes friends everywhere he goes, Hartley will make your heart melt daily. He is wonderfully friendly with other dogs, leans in for fuss like the oversized teddy bear he is and treats every new person like a long-lost pal. He is endlessly curious, loves exploring new environments and is in his absolute element when he is using that incredible hound nose during tracking or scent games. Car journeys are a breeze with Hartley—he jumps straight into the boot without a second thought. You will just need a good-sized boot space to fit his impressive frame and keep him safely contained, especially as he can be a bit silly and animated with his happy tail while travelling. If you are looking for a cheerful, affectionate, slightly oversized clown who will brighten your days, keep you smiling and be a loyal companion to both you and your resident dog, Hartley might be exactly who you have been searching for. If you are after a big-hearted adventure buddy who brings joy (and a fair bit of laughter) everywhere he goes, Hartley might be just your lad. At three and a half years old, this Foxhound is a gorgeous blend of goofy charm, boundless curiosity and classic hound enthusiasm. He is a Big Friendly Giant who does not quite realise how large he is, so is looking for a family with secondary school aged children, who are confident around a dog who bounces with excitement. He is currently enjoying learning some great life skills, such as loose lead walking! Whilst we have been working with Hartley in indoor spaces here at the centre, we suspect Hartley has previously lived outdoors so would be looking for a home that can help continue Hartley’s gradual transition into indoor living. He lives in a group living setting at the centre, with access to outdoor areas and he does spend most of his time outdoors. If you have a suitable outdoor establishment with another dog, this would be a lovely stepping stone into a home. Hartley would have on-going support from our welfare team to ensure he is getting the contact with people he very much loves whilst living in a slightly different environment.
