Bonjour ! Je m'appelle Jasper, je suis un Shih Tzu sensible et intelligent qui cherche un foyer très expérimenté, réservé aux adultes uniquement. Je dois être honnête, j'ai déjà mordu dans les maisons précédentes lorsque je me suis senti submergé. Cela s'est généralement produit lorsque je recevais trop d'attention ou de maniement. Je peux avoir l'air d'avoir besoin de soins, mais je gère beaucoup mieux avec une approche calme, sans contact physique et des limites claires. En raison de cela, j'ai besoin d'un maître qui comprend le comportement des chiens, qui sait interpréter mon langage corporel et qui respecte mon espace. Je ne suis pas un chien de canapé typique et je ne conviens pas aux familles qui cherchent un compagnon très affectueux et tactile. Je dois être le seul animal de la maison, car je n'aime pas les autres chiens, et j'aurai besoin d'endroits tranquilles pour promener ou d'un jardin sécurisé avec un minimum de contact avec d'autres chiens. Un foyer calme avec très peu de visiteurs est important pour moi, car les environnements animés peuvent être submergents. J'aime être près de mon maître et apprendre de nouvelles choses, mais tout doit rester discret et prévisible. Je travaille encore sur le fait d'être laissé seul et aurai besoin d'un soutien continu. Je ne serai pas adapté à la plupart des foyers, mais avec la bonne personne expérimentée qui me comprend et qui est prête à écouter, je pourrai établir un lien fort et fidèle. Hello! I’m Jasper, a sensitive and intelligent little Shih Tzu looking for a calm, experienced, adult-only home where I can feel safe and understood. I’m a lovely little dog to have around when life is quiet. I enjoy being near my person, pottering about the house, and settling down once I feel comfortable. I like routine and predictability, and I’m happiest when everything feels calm and steady. I form strong bonds with my people and really enjoy spending time together, especially in a low-key way. I’m a bright boy who enjoys learning new things and I respond well when things are kept gentle and consistent. I can find too much handling or attention overwhelming at times, and in the past I’ve reacted by snapping when I’ve felt uncomfortable. I cope much better with a calm, hands-off approach and someone who understands dog body language and will respect my space. I’m not your typical lap dog, but I build a really special bond with the right person, based on trust, patience and understanding. I would need to be the only pet in the home, as I’m not comfortable around other dogs, and I’d benefit from quiet walking areas or a secure garden where I can relax without too much going on around me. A calm home with very few visitors will help me feel settled, as busy environments can be overwhelming for me. I’m also still learning that it’s okay to be left alone, so I’ll need some support and patience with this. With the right person, I’m a really rewarding little dog to live with - I just need someone who understands me and is happy to go at my pace.
