Minty est un jeune homme vraiment séduisant qui est entré dans notre garde provenant d'un éleveur et a appris doucement ce qu'est la vie au-delà de l'environnement qu'il connaissait. Pendant son temps à Many Tears, il a fait d'excellents progrès et devient de plus en plus confiant, affectueux et impliqué avec le monde qui l'entoure. Bien que Minty puisse initialement se sentir hésitant dans les nouvelles situations, il construit bien la confiance avec une approche calme et patiente. Une fois qu'il se sent en sécurité, sa nature affectueuse ressort réellement, il adore absolument la compagnie humaine et serait heureux de s'installer autant que possible. En fait, Minty est un jeune homme extrêmement affectueux qui choisit toujours un câlin plutôt que presque tout et veut câliner chaque personne qu'il rencontre. Il est vraiment l'un des chiens les plus aimants que vous puissiez rencontrer. Minty est joueur et apprécie ses jouets à mâcher, et bien qu'il chasse parfois une balle, il n'a pas encore compris le but du jeu de ramassage ! Il s'entend bien avec les autres chiens et gagne beaucoup de confiance grâce à leur présence. Il a été présenté à nombreux chiens ici et s'entend bien avec tous. Sa réactivité lors des promenades ne vient pas d'une aversion, il adore en réalité les autres chiens. Il va très bien et peut maintenant passer devant la plupart des chiens calmement, bien qu'il puisse encore réagir si un chien aboie en premier. Cela fera partie du travail que la nouvelle famille devra continuer à faire via une formation constante, une socialisation sécurisée et une renforcement positif. Il marche magnifiquement en laisse quand c'est calme et continue à développer sa confiance dans les environnements plus animés. Minty est également très à l'aise avec un collier de morsure et associe maintenant facilement ce dernier à une promenade. C'est un jeune très intelligent qui connaît déjà « assis » et ira sur son lit lorsqu'on lui demande, montrant ainsi à quel point il est capable. Il conviendrait parfaitement aux adoptants recherchant un chien actif, affectueux qui apprécie une formation continue pour garder son corps et son esprit occupés. Comme Minty n’a jamais vécu en milieu familial auparavant, ses adoptants devront être patients pendant qu’il apprend l'éducation à la maison et les routines quotidiennes. Un foyer constant et calme l'aidera à prospérer. Il aura besoin d'un jardin sécurisé avec des clôtures de plus de 1,8 mètre car il peut sauter très haut. Minty cherche un foyer exclusivement pour adultes, sans chats, et aimerait vivre avec au moins un chien résident confiant et joueur qui pourra l'aider à continuer son parcours, accompagné de humains soutenants et compréhensifs. Avec patience, cohérence et la compagnie d'un autre chien, Minty continuera à grandir en devenant un compagnon confiant, affectueux et profondément gratifiant. C’est un si bel âme et tellement digne d’un foyer pour toujours où il pourra véritablement prospérer, il est difficile de croire qu'il n'a pas encore été adopté. Minty is a truly handsome boy who came into our care from a breeder and has been gently learning about life beyond the environment he once knew. During his time at Many Tears, he has made lovely progress and is becoming more confident, affectionate, and engaged with the world around him. Although Minty can initially feel unsure in new situations, he builds trust well with a calm and patient approach. Once he feels safe, his affectionate nature really shines through, he absolutely adores human company and would happily cuddle as much as possible. In fact, Minty is an incredibly affectionate boy who will choose a snuggle over almost anything and wants to cuddle every person he meets. He truly is one of the most loving dogs you could wish to meet. Minty is playful and enjoys his chew toys, and while he will sometimes chase a ball, he hasn’t quite worked out the point of fetch yet! He mixes well with other dogs and gains a great deal of confidence from their company. He has been introduced to many dogs here and gets on well with them all. His reactivity when out walking does not stem from dislike, he actually adores other dogs. He is doing really well with this and can now walk past most dogs calmly, though he may still react if a dog barks at him first. This is something his new family will need to continue working on through consistent training, safe socialisation, and positive reinforcement. He walks beautifully on the lead when it’s quiet and is continuing to build his confidence in busier environments. Minty is also very comfortable wearing a muzzle and now happily associates it with going out for walks. He is a very intelligent boy who already knows “sit” and will go to his bed when asked, showing just how capable he is. He would really suit adopters looking for an active, loving dog who enjoys ongoing training to keep both his body and brain busy. As Minty has not previously lived in a home environment, his adopters will need to be patient while he learns house training and everyday routines. A consistent, calm household will help him thrive. He will need a secure garden with 6ft+ fences as he can jump very high. Minty is looking for an adult-only, cat-free home and would love to live with at least one confident, playful resident dog who can help guide him as he continues his journey, alongside supportive and understanding humans. With patience, consistency, and the companionship of another dog, Minty will continue to grow into a confident, affectionate, and deeply rewarding companion. He is such a beautiful soul and so deserving of a forever home where he can truly flourish, it’s hard to believe he hasn’t been snapped up yet. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
