10-05-26 Nana est arrivée chez nous auprès d'un éleveur et cherche maintenant sa maison pour toujours. C'est une jeune fille douce qui est tout à fait effrayée et submergée par la situation. Il est clair qu'elle n'a pas beaucoup été manipulée ou socialisée avant, donc les mains humaines sont très inquiétantes pour elle en ce moment et elle a peur d'être manipulée. Nous continuerons à l'aider doucement à comprendre que les mains humaines peuvent être bienveillantes. Nana recherchera une maison calme et tranquille réservée aux adultes où elle pourra s'installer à son propre rythme. Elle bénéficierait vraiment d'adoptants ayant de l'expérience avec les chiens nerveux anciens élevés en captivité et qui comprennent la patience, le temps et le réconfort dont elle aura besoin pendant qu'elle apprend à faire confiance. Elle adore les autres chiens et compte sur eux pour le réconfort et la sécurité, donc Nana aura besoin d'au moins un autre chien gentil et confiant vivant dans sa nouvelle maison pour la prendre sous son aile et l'aider à se sentir en sécurité et en confiance. Comme Nana n'a jamais vécu dans une maison auparavant, elle aura besoin d'adoptants patients qui seront bienveillants et compréhensifs alors qu'elle apprend tout sur la vie à la maison et de nouvelles compétences comme l'habitude de la litière. Elle devra également apprendre à marcher en laisse et en harnais, en commençant par le jardin pour qu'elle gagne en confiance. Avec le temps, la bienveillance et beaucoup de soins, Nana commencera à laisser le passé derrière elle et à laisser son vrai caractère ressortir. Nana souffre d'une alopecie hormonale, mais cela devrait repousser une fois qu'elle aura été stérilisée. Elle a une petite hernie inguinale qui a été examinée par nos vétérinaires et il a été décidé de ne pas opérer la hernie, car elle est trop petite. Elle a eu plusieurs dents retirées lors de la stérilisation. Ce chien peut être adopté avec un autre chien résidant.

10-05-26 Nana has come to us from a breeder and is now searching for her forever home. She is a sweet girl who is understandably feeling very scared and overwhelmed to find herself here. It’s clear she hasn’t had much handling or socialisation before, so human hands are quite worrying for her at the moment and she is very nervous of being handled. We will continue gently helping her learn that human hands can be kind. Nana will be looking for a calm and quiet adult only home where she can settle in at her own pace. She would really benefit from adopters who have experience with nervous ex-breeding dogs and who understand the patience, time and reassurance she will need as she learns to trust. She absolutely loves other dogs and relies on them for comfort and reassurance, so Nana will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in her new home to take her under their wing and help her feel safe and secure. As Nana has never lived in a home before, she will need patient adopters who will be kind and understanding as she learns all about home life and new skills like house training. She will also need to learn all about walking on a lead and harness, first practicing in the garden as she builds confidence. With time, kindness and plenty of TLC, Nana will begin to leave the past behind her and let her true personality shine through. Nana has some hormonal alopecia, but this should start to grow back once she has been spayed. She has a small inguinal hernia that has been assessed by our vets and it was determined to not repair the hernia, as it is too small. She has had several teeth removed at the time of spay. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
