Rachel est une jeune fille très effrayée qui nous a été envoyée par un éleveur. Elle est naturellement submergée par son nouvel environnement et n'a clairement pas eu beaucoup de socialisation auparavant. Cependant, depuis qu'elle est avec nous, elle a lentement commencé à montrer de petits signes de progrès en comprenant qu'elle est en sécurité. Elle cherche un foyer où les adoptants ont de l'expérience avec des chiens ex-éleveurs effrayés, pouvant lui offrir le réconfort et la stabilité dont elle a besoin pour continuer à construire sa confiance et à apprendre la confiance et la bienveillance. Elle aura besoin d'un foyer uniquement composé d'adultes qui pourront offrir un environnement calme et prévisible où elle pourra avancer à son propre rythme. Rachel aura également besoin d'au moins un chien résident aimant et confiant pour l'aider à se sentir plus en sécurité, car elle peut encore facilement être submergée, mais elle prend du réconfort de la présence d'autres chiens. Rachel n'a jamais vécu dans un foyer avant, donc elle aura besoin d'adoptants très patients et compréhensifs pendant qu'elle apprend l'entraînement à la maison et comment marcher en laisse. Le grand monde extérieur lui semble toujours assez effrayant, mais elle commence à montrer de la curiosité dans des environnements sécurisés, et un temps doux dans le jardin sera un excellent moyen de l'aider à explorer lentement et à renforcer sa confiance. Rachel agit uniquement par peur, mais nous commençons à voir des indices d'un côté plus doux alors qu'elle commence à se détendre dans son environnement familier. Elle a tellement de potentiel et, avec du temps, de la patience et de la bienveillance, elle comprendra qu'elle est en sécurité et aimée. Elle a juste besoin d'un foyer vraiment compréhensif pour l'aider à s'épanouir en tant que chien qu'elle est censée être. Rachel nous a été apportée avec un kyste de la taille d'une petite lentille sur son épaule, qui a été retiré lors de sa stérilisation. Ce chien peut être adopté avec un chien résident.

Rachel is a very scared girl who has come to us from a breeder. She is understandably overwhelmed by her new surroundings and clearly hasn’t had much socialisation before. However, since being with us, she has slowly started to show small signs of progress as she begins to realise she is safe. She is looking for a home with adopters experienced with scared ex-breeding dogs who can provide the reassurance and stability she needs to continue building her confidence and learning about trust and kindness. She will need an adult-only home that can offer a calm and predictable environment where she can take things at her own pace. Rachel will also need at least one kind and confident resident dog to help guide her and provide comfort, as she can still become easily overwhelmed, but does take reassurance from the presence of other dogs. Rachel has never lived in a home before, so she will need very patient and understanding adopters while she learns about house training and how to walk on a lead. The big wide world still feels quite scary for her, but she is beginning to show curiosity in safe environments, and gentle time in the garden will be a great way to help her slowly explore and build confidence. Rachel is only acting out of fear, but we are starting to see glimpses of a softer side as she begins to relax in familiar surroundings. She has so much potential and, with time, patience, and kindness, she will begin to understand that she is safe and loved. She just needs a truly understanding home to help her blossom into the dog she is meant to be. Rachel has come to us with a pea-sized cyst on her shoulder, which has been removed at the time of her spay. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
