Il est entré dans notre garde après avoir été abandonné au Ballinasloe Fair, ayant connu un commencement difficile, notamment des blessures au visage dues à l'attache avec une corde. Malgré tout ce qu'il a traversé, Rockie montre à quel point il veut faire confiance et s'attacher. Lorsqu'il est arrivé, il était très nerveux et incertain, et il a naturellement eu des comportements basés sur la peur tels que donner des coups de pied. Avec le temps, les soins et une manipulation constante, il a énormément progressé et il donne maintenant des avertissements clairs lorsqu'il se sent mal à l'aise. Il apprend à faire à nouveau confiance aux gens et continue d'avancer lentement chaque jour. Au fond, Rockie est un jeune homme très affectueux qui forme de fortes liens avec sa personne une fois qu'il se sent en sécurité. Il aura besoin d'un foyer calme et expérimenté qui lui accordera le temps, la patience et la rassurance nécessaires pour pleinement s'épanouir. Dans le bon environnement, nous croyons qu'il a beaucoup de potentiel pour gagner en assurance.

Scroll to read more. Rockie is a young mule with a gentle heart who is searching for a patient and understanding home to help him continue his journey. He came into our care after being abandoned at Ballinasloe Fair, having suffered a difficult start, including injuries to his face from being tied with rope. Despite everything he’s been through, Rockie is showing just how much he wants to trust and connect. When Rockie first arrived, he was very nervous and unsure, and understandably he struggled with fear-based behaviours such as kicking. With time, care, and consistent handling, he has come on incredibly well and will now give clear warnings when he feels uncomfortable. He is learning to trust people again and continues to make steady progress every day. At heart, Rockie is a very affectionate boy who forms strong bonds with his person once he feels safe. He will need a calm, experienced home that can give him the time, patience, and reassurance he needs to fully come into himself. Given the right environment, we believe he has so much potential to grow in confidence.
