Le 9 mai 2026, nous verrons à nouveau 1000 canards jaunes descendre le fleuve au Swan Meadows à Abergavenny pour aider les chiens de Hope Rescue. Les canards partiront du pont sur le fleuve, puis descendront en naviguant entre les rochers, les sauts abrupts et les herbes aquatiques avant d'être récupérés par notre équipe de bénévoles de Hope Rescue (n'oubliez pas vos bottes !). Chaque canard coûte 1 £ et celui qui arrive en premier est le gagnant. Vous êtes le bienvenu pour encourager votre canard, mais vous n'avez pas besoin d'être présent le jour même pour participer. Notre équipe de bénévoles s'assurera qu'ils captent le canard le plus rapide à la ligne d'arrivée. N'oubliez pas, le gagnant chanceux recevra un prix de 100 £. Tous les numéros de canards seront envoyés par courriel avant la course et chaque canard sera attrapé dans nos filets pour éviter qu'ils ne continuent plus loin. Nouveau en 2026, nous invitons les entreprises locales à s'impliquer en parrainant un canard. Le parrainage coûte 10 £ par canard et en échange, le nom de votre entreprise sera mentionné sur notre page d'événement ici sur notre site internet, qui attire 4 000 visiteurs par mois ET si votre canard gagne, vous serez tagué sur nos pages de réseaux sociaux, qui ont une portée combinée de plus de 130 000 personnes. On Saturday 9th May 2026 we will once again see 1000 yellow ducks head down the river at Swan Meadows in Abergavenny to help the dogs at Hope Rescue. The ducks will launch from the road bridge over the river, then travel downstream, navigating boulders, steep drops and pond weeds before being collected by our team of Hope Rescue volunteers (don't forget your wellies guys!). Each duck costs £1 and the first across the finish line is the winner. You are most welcome to come along to cheer on your duck, but you don't have to be present on the day to take part. Our team of volunteers will make sure that they capture the fastest duckie swim across the finish line. Don't forget, the lucky winner will get the prize of £100. All duck numbers will be emailed out prior to the race and EVERY single duck will be caught in our nets to prevent them travelling any further. New for 2026, we are inviting local businesses to get involved by sponsoring a duck. Sponsorship just £10 per duck and in return your business name will be listed on our event page here on our website, which attracts 4,000 visitors per month AND if your duck wins you will be tagged on our social media pages, which has a combined reach of over 130,000 people.
