Adopter Minerva

This pretty little girl was found curled up in a ball on the roadside, by a young couple who tried but could not find her owner. She kept following them, so they took her to a vet to have her scanned for a microchip but none was found (we microchip our kittens at 9 weeks old when they have their first vaccination). Despite searching and knocking on doors they could not find her owner, so brought her to us. She is petite and has soft very shiny black fur and the cutest little white whiskers. She started off in foster care for the first couple of weeks as a quiet girl who wasn't interested in playing. Mostly she sat quietly ... maybe on your lap if it was offered ... and looking at the outside world. She is much more active now she has settled in and we think it might have taken her time to get over the shock of what happened to her. She likes human company and her foster Mum has had to place a cat bed on the side of her desk to satisfy Minerva! She is well socialised, likes to be stroked and is happy to be picked up and carried. She is playing more now and likes the the ball track occasionally and a soft hairy little ball that she can carry in her mouth. She wants to be outside 'her' room now and exploring and has encountered some of the adult cats in her foster home. She initially just looked at them with interest from a distance, now she gives a little growl but if they approach she is fine and maybe a little bit in awe. She has however picked a young adult male as her best friend and now chases him round the house which he finds a little annoying. We think Minerva will be fine living in a home with another resident cat. Minerva would be good in an adult home as she is past the chasing around and running up the curtains phase of small kittens. Equally we think that she would be fine with children - but not if they want a kitten who will play enthusiastically as that is really not her thing.
