Cette petite belle fleur est Ursula, une petite fille de type Staffy, qui est arrivée dans notre famille pendant les inondations de janvier 26, lorsque le refuge Los Barrios a dû évacuer. Elle n'avait pas encore longtemps passé au refuge, elle avait été récemment abandonnée, et elle était vraiment dévastée. Maintenant, elle s'est adaptée à la vie au refuge, et elle aime sortir avec les bénévoles, au parc du refuge pour sentir les fleurs, ou pour des journées à la plage et en ville. Ursula adore monter en voiture pour des aventures, elle marche bien sur les escaliers et se comporte poliment en public. Elle adore chercher les souris et les petites créatures en général, donc elle ne sera pas un bon candidat pour une maison avec d'autres petits animaux comme les chats, les lapins, les oiseaux, etc., mais elle est adorable avec tous les chiens qu'elle rencontre, et au refuge elle adore vivre avec un gros chien pitbull, Drako, ils font tout ensemble, même veiller l'un sur l'autre lorsqu'ils font leurs besoins. Comme Ursula vient d'un environnement domestique, même si ce n'était pas un très bon environnement, puisqu'elle a été abandonnée, elle sait encore ce que c'est de vivre en famille, et elle s'adaptera certainement très rapidement à une vie en famille. Dans son ancienne maison, elle vivait avec un enfant, qu'elle semblait avoir beaucoup aimé. Ursula marche très bien en laisse, qu'elle soit dans la nature, au refuge ou dans une rue animée de la ville, elle ne dérange personne ni les autres chiens, et comme elle est si petite et gentille avec les gens, elle serait également adaptée aux humains qui aiment emmener leur chien partout où ils vont, dans des cafés, des voyages en voiture, à la plage, pour rendre visite à des amis et des parents (à condition qu'ils n'aient pas de souris chez eux !). Lorsque Ursula changera d'environnement, en allant dans une maison, elle s'accrochera probablement au premier humain qui lui offrira sécurité, puis elle pourrait développer une anxiété de séparation, et pour cette raison, il serait vraiment bien s'il y a plus de personnes dans la maison qui prennent soin d'Ursula, ou s'il y a déjà un chien mâle social et amical qui attend Ursula, afin que son existence et son sentiment de confort et de sécurité ne reposent pas entièrement sur une seule personne. Si la nouvelle maison d'Ursula est une maison à une seule personne, sans autres chiens ou humains, alors nous recommandons à son humain, pour créer une vie équilibrée, confortable et relaxante pour Ursula, de s'inscrire à un groupe de formation pour chiens, pour rencontrer d'autres chiens et des propriétaires de chiens, et pour construire un cercle social comme cela. Sa hauteur au épaules est de 49 cm, elle est juste une petite fleur. Pour une adoption en Espagne, une inscription PPP serait nécessaire, que le refuge peut aider à obtenir, et Ursula est également disponible pour l'adoption internationale. Elle a été médicalement examinée et est négative pour les maladies méditerranéennes.

This small beautiful flower is Ursula, a compact, really small Staffy-kind of girl, who arrived to our family during the floods of January ´26, when Los Barrios shelter had to evacuate. She had not been long in the shelter yet, just recently abandoned, and she was really heartbroken. Now she has settled into shelter life, and Loves to go out with volunteers, to the shelter parks to smell the flowers, or for days out on the beach and in the town. Ursula loves to get into the car, to go for adventures, she walks well on the stairs and behaves politely in public. She loves to look for mice, and little creatures in general, so she will not be a great candidate for a home with other small animals like cats, rabbits, birds etc, but she is lovely with all the dogs she meets, and in the shelter she loves to live together with a chunky pitbull boy, Drako, they do everything together, even look out for each other when pooping. As Ursula is coming from a home environment, even though not a great one, since she has been abandoned, then she still knows how it feels like to live in a home, and will surely very quickly adjust back into a life in a home with a family. In her previous home, she was living together with a child, who she seemed to have loved very much. Ursula walks very nicely on the leash, whether in the nature, in the shelter, or in a busy town street, she does not bother people or other dogs, and since she is so compact and kind with people, she would also be suitable for humans who like to take their dog everywhere they go, to cafeterias, car trips, beach, visiting friends and relatives (as long as they do not have mice at their home!). When she will change environments, going to a home, she will probably first cling onto the first human that will offer her safety, and then she might develop separation anxiety, and for that reason, it would be really great, if there are more people in the home, who take care of Ursula, or if there is already a social, friendly male dog waiting for Ursula, so her existance and feeling of comfort and safety does not rely totally on one person. If her new home is a one-person home, without other dogs or humans, then we recommend her human, for the sake of creating a balanced, comfortable, relaxed life for Ursula, to enroll in a dog-training group, to meet other dogs and dog-people, and to build her a social circle like this. Her shoulder height is just 49cm, she is just a little flower. For an adoption in Spain, a PPP registration would be needed which the shelter can help with, and Ursula is also available for international adoption. She has been medically checked and is negative on Mediterranean diseases.
