"Youki" is a dog with a nice face and full of energy, faithful to his breed. Very close to his handler, he is particularly attentive and listening. Indeed, he already has good education basics and knows several commands such as "sit", "lie down", "leave it" and "wait". "Youki" is also a happy, friendly, playful and affectionate dog. "Youki" is rather sociable with other animals of the same species and tends to ignore them, although this depends on the dog profiles. A placement with a female could be considered provided that a prior presentation is done, of course. "Youki" may however show some resource guarding during feeding depending on the refuge staff. This point will need to continue to be worked on in his future home. In general, he will need an adopter who can offer him a consistent and firm framework so that he can evolve positively. Like many dogs who have experienced abandonment, loneliness is difficult for him to manage. When left alone for too long (in his opinion!) in the play area, he can try to pull on the fencing. Therefore, a progressive work on this issue will be necessary to help him better live through these moments. A home with teenagers could be considered for "Youki". Several visits to the refuge with one of our canine educators will be essential before his adoption in order to get to know him better and understand the work to be continued. An educational follow-up will also be mandatory after his adoption to continue the efforts made and help him start on solid foundations. Moreover, "Youki" is one of the dogs from the refuge accompanied by Educ Dog, which offers his future family 5 days of training at its canine center in Montpellier to help him start on good foundations. We are looking for someone who has experience with dogs, ready to invest time so that he can find the calm and stability he deserves. To adopt "Youki", you will need to have a dog category aptitude certificate as well as civil liability insurance.
