Nous l'aidons à promouvoir sur le site d'une autre association de sauvetage afin de lui trouver un foyer expérimenté en race. La vie n'a pas toujours été gentille avec Ziggy, et il a traversé beaucoup de changements récemment, donc il prend les choses étape par étape tout en reconstruisant sa confiance. Il peut sembler distant au début, mais une fois qu'il se sent en sécurité, son côté affectueux et loyal commence à briller. Ziggy prospère dans un environnement paisible et aimerait un foyer calme, réservé aux adultes, sans enfants ni visiteurs réguliers. Il trouve du réconfort dans la routine et un environnement calme, et nous aimerions le voir installé quelque part qui lui semble sûr et prévisible. En raison d'expériences difficiles passées avec d'autres chiens, Ziggy doit être le seul animal de compagnie dans le foyer. Il a déjà été mordu et préfère clairement son propre espace, mais il est généralement calme avec d'autres chiens lors des promenades, à condition qu'ils ne s'approchent pas trop ou ne lui fassent pas face. Il apprécie des promenades tranquilles avec des amis canins familiers, mais il ne cherche pas de partenaires de jeu canin. Ziggy est actuellement un peu gros et suit un régime pour qu'il se sente bien. Un jardin sécurisé serait parfait pour qu'il dépense de l'énergie, mais aussi comme espace extérieur calme où il peut se détendre sans stress. Il a précédemment supporté d'être laissé pendant de courtes périodes, et cela pourra être progressivement reconstruit une fois qu'il sera installé. Il n'aime pas beaucoup le voyage en voiture pour l'instant, donc avoir accès à des promenades et des activités enrichissantes directement depuis la porte d'entrée serait idéal. Ziggy essaie de garder son enclos propre, donc l'entrainement à la propreté devrait être assez simple avec un peu de patience et de routine. Il apprend également à se sentir plus à l'aise avec l'handling vétérinaire et l'utilisation d'un collier de contrôle. Il aura besoin d'une formation continue dans ce domaine, approchée avec bienveillance et renforcement positif. En raison de sa nature sensible et de son traumatisme passé, Ziggy a montré certaines réactions et comportements liés à la séparation au sein du foyer. Il faudra des adoptants ayant une expérience de la race, beaucoup de patience et un engagement pour l'aider à se sentir en sécurité. Un endroit sûr et calme à l'intérieur de la maison où Ziggy pourra se retirer quand nécessaire sera essentiel. Ziggy est un garçon doux et fidèle qui a simplement besoin des bonnes personnes pour lui montrer que le monde n'est pas si effrayant. Meet Ziggy: A Gentle Soul Looking for His Safe Haven Ziggy is a beautiful, sensitive 5 year old boy with a big heart who’s looking for a calm, understanding home to truly call his own. We are helping advertise him on behalf of another rescue to help find him a breed experienced home. Life hasn’t always been kind to Ziggy, and he’s been through a lot of change recently, so he’s taking things one step at a time as he rebuilds his confidence.He may come across as aloof at first, but once he feels safe, his affectionate and loyal side begins to shine through. Ziggy thrives in a peaceful environment and would love a quiet, adult only home with no visiting children or regular visitors. He finds comfort in routine and calm surroundings, and we’d love to see him settled somewhere that feels safe and predictable for him. Due to difficult past experiences with other dogs, Ziggy needs to be the only pet in the home. He’s been bitten before and understandably prefers his own space, but he’s generally calm around other dogs on walks, as long as they don’t get too close or in his face. He enjoys peaceful strolls with familiar canine friends but isn’t looking for doggy playmates. Ziggy is currently a little overweight and is on a diet to help him feel his best. A secure garden would be perfect for him to burn off some energy, but also as a quiet outdoor space where he can relax without stress.He’s previously been fine being left for short periods, and this can be built back up slowly once he’s settled. He’s not a fan of car travel at the moment, so having access to walks and enrichment straight from the doorstep would be ideal. Ziggy does try to keep his kennel clean, so housetraining should be fairly straightforward with a little patience and routine. He is also learning to feel more comfortable with vet handling and wearing a muzzle. He will need ongoing training in this area, approached with kindness and positive reinforcement. Due to his sensitive nature and past trauma, Ziggy has shown some reactivity and separation related behaviours in the home. He will need adopters with breed experience, plenty of patience, and a commitment to helping him feel secure. A safe, quiet space within the home where Ziggy can retreat when needed will be essential. Ziggy is a sweet, loyal lad who just needs the right people to show him that the world isn’t such a scary place. With time, consistency, and lots of love, he’ll make a wonderful companion.
