Tommy is a lovely, people-focused boy who absolutely adores being around his humans. He enjoys getting out and about for adventures, particularly sniffy walks where he can explore his surroundings, but what he really wants is to be by your side. He is also a fantastic cuddler and is happiest when he can be involved in whatever you’re doing. When meeting new people, Tommy is extremely friendly and loves interaction, his adopters will need to be comfortable helping him manage his enthusiasm. Tommy is a real foodie and takes most treats, making positive reinforcement a great way to help him learn. He also enjoys his toys, particularly plush toys, and would love a family who can provide him with plenty of enrichment alongside his walks. Tommy could potentially live with another dog, but he will need a very socially confident and well-regulated canine companion. He can be quite enthusiastic when meeting other dogs, so careful introductions and multiple meets at the centre will be needed. He would be best suited to a dog who can communicate clearly and is happy to give him space when needed. Tommy is looking for a home with children aged 14+ and could be suitable for first-time owners who are prepared to put the time into helping him settle and build up his confidence. He is likely to find being left alone difficult, so his new family will need to be around for him and gradually build up any time apart.
