À son cœur, Antonio est profondément affectueux et extrêmement orienté vers les personnes. Il aime avec tout son corps, des remuements de queue enthousiastes, en s'appuyant sur vous avec tout son poids, et en envahissant joyeusement votre espace personnel juste pour se sentir proche. Il a besoin d'interactions et de connexions, formant des liens forts et faisant de ses humains le centre de son monde. Son amour n'est pas subtil, il est grand, physique et plein de caractère. L'une des caractéristiques les plus uniques d'Antonio est son mode de communication. Lorsqu'il sent qu'il ne reçoit pas assez d'attention, il a développé une habitude de donner de petits coups stratégiques avec ses dents avant, généralement sur une cuisse ou une cible proche. Ce n'est pas un comportement agressif, mais plutôt son manière apprise (et certes mutine) de dire « hey, ne m'oublie pas ». Toutefois, ce comportement aura besoin d'orientation et de redirigement dans un environnement familial, alors qu'il apprend des manières plus appropriées de demander de l'attention. Il s'entend bien avec les autres chiens et est généralement social en compagnie canine. Son comportement avec les chats est actuellement inconnu et devra être testé, particulièrement en considérant sa personnalité curieuse et interactive. Toutes les présentations à d'autres animaux devront être faites réfléchies et progressives. Antonio est un chien intelligent et expressif qui bénéficiera d'un maître expérimenté qui comprend les personnalités fortes et qui est prêt à fournir de la structure, de la constance et des limites claires. Avec la bonne guidance, ses particularités peuvent être transformées en comportements plus appropriés, permettant à ses meilleures qualités de vraiment briller. At his core, Antonio is deeply affectionate and incredibly people-oriented. He loves with his whole body, full tail wags, leaning into you with all his weight, and happily invading your personal space just to feel close. He thrives on interaction and connection, forming strong bonds and making his humans the center of his world. His love is not subtle, it is big, physical, and full of character. Antonio is also extremely food-motivated or as we might say, “food-positive.” Food is his passion, his inspiration, and quite possibly his life philosophy. He is highly engaged when treats or meals are involved, which makes him very responsive and potentially easy to train with the right approach. However, his enthusiasm for food also comes with a tendency to be very focused on anything edible (or possibly edible), so some management and structure around food will be important. One of Antonio’s most unique traits is his way of communicating. When he feels he’s not getting enough attention, he has developed a habit of giving small, strategic pinches with his front teeth, usually to a thigh or nearby target. This is not aggressive behavior, but rather his learned (and admittedly cheeky) way of saying “hey, don’t forget about me.” That said, this behavior will need guidance and redirection in a home environment, as he learns more appropriate ways to seek attention. He gets along well with other dogs and is generally social in canine company. His behavior with cats is currently unknown and would need to be tested, particularly considering his curious and interactive personality. Any introductions to other animals should be done thoughtfully and gradually. Antonio is an intelligent, expressive dog who will benefit from an experienced owner who understands strong personalities and is willing to provide structure, consistency, and clear boundaries. With the right guidance, his quirks can be shaped into more appropriate behaviors, allowing his best qualities to truly shine. Despite his mischievous streak, Antonio is a loving, loyal companion who brings joy, laughter, and a lot of personality into everyday life.
