Balu came to us neglected, emaciated, and with scars on his hind legs. During our first walks, he didn’t seem very confident. It was clear that the situation he found himself in was overwhelming for him. Nevertheless, he’s open to meeting new people, and you don’t have to encourage him much to go for walks. He happily greets his volunteers and is slowly starting to warm up. He’s becoming increasingly interested in various things—such as who’s at the other end of the leash. So far, he’s not a puller and isn’t particularly interested in passing dogs, but he’d happily chase birds ;) We’ll still be testing his direct interactions with other dogs, so for now we’re looking for a home without other dogs. We don’t yet know how he’d fare with cats, other animals, or children. Balu is estimated to be around 4 years old.

Balu trafił do nas zaniedbany, wychudzony i z bliznami na tylnych łapach. Na pierwszych spacerach nie czuł się zbyt pewnie. Widać że przytłoczyła go sytuacja w której się znalazł. Mimo wszystko jest otwarty na nowo poznane osoby i nie trzeba go specjalnie namawiać na spacery. Radośnie wita swoich wolontariuszy i powolutku zaczyna się rozkręcać. Interesuje go coraz więcej spraw, jak na przykład to kto jest na drugim końcu smyczy. Jak na razie nie jest typem ciągnika i nie interesują go mijane psy, ale chętnie poluje na ptaszki ;) Jego bezpośredni kontakt z psami będziemy dopiero sprawdzać, dlatego na obecna chwilę szukamy domu bez innych psów. Nie znamy jego stosunku do kotów, innych zwierząt oraz dzieci. Balu jest oceniony na około 4 lat.
