Over the weekend of July 18, he was warmly welcomed with open arms by his foster family in Kampen (province of Overijssel). With them, he’ll have the time he needs to “settle in,” after everything he’s been through—the long journey and now arriving in a completely new world for him. Through his foster family, we’re getting to know Basket better and better, learning how he feels and behaves in the Netherlands. Information about Basket in Romania: In early March 2026, this little male puppy was dumped together with his siblings in a laundry basket in front of Elisa’s shelter in Romania. Unfortunately, this happens all too often—newborn puppies left behind without their mother. They had trouble eating, and without foster mom Medea, they wouldn’t have made it. Medea herself had just had puppies and adopted these little ones as if they were her own. Now, this pup is completely ready for a new life in the Netherlands!

In het weekend van 18 juli is hij met open armen ontvangen door zijn gastgezin in Kampen (provincie Overijssel). Bij hen krijgt hij de tijd om "te landen", na alles wat hij heeft meegemaakt, de lange reis en nu aangekomen in een voor hem hele nieuwe wereld. Via zijn gastgezin leren we Basket steeds beter kennen, hoe hij zich in Nederland voelt en gedraagt.Wanneer hij beschikbaar komt voor adoptie, dan wordt de informatie op deze pagina uitgebreid aangevuld! Informatie, Basket in Roemenië: Begin maart 2026 werd dit reutje samen met zijn broertjes en zusjes in een wasmand gedumpt voor de deur van Elisa's asiel in Roemenië. Dit is iets wat helaas heel vaak gebeurd. Pas geboren en achtergelaten zonder hun moeder. Ze hadden moeite met eten en zonder fostermama Medea hadden ze het niet gered. Medea had zelf net pups gehad en adopteerde hen alsof het haar eigen waren. Nu is deze pup helemaal klaar voor een nieuw leven in Nederland!
