Say hello to Bilbo baggins and Baileys! Bilbo is a 18 year old, 8.2hh, dark bay, Shetland, gelding who is ready to find his home as a non-ridden companion. Baileys is a 13 year old, 10hh, Dun, Shetland, mare who is ready to find her home as a non-ridden companion. Bilbo Baggins and Baileys are an adorable pair of Shetland ponies looking for a home where they can stay together, enjoy a consistent routine, and continue building their confidence. Baileys is always the first to greet you at the gate and is keen to see what you’re up to. Bilbo can be affectionate on his own terms and enjoys spending time with people once he feels comfortable. Both ponies love a good belly scratch and are naturally curious, often wanting to be involved in whatever is going on around them. Stabling/Shelter Companionship Forage & Feed Feet & Teeth Vices Vet & Medication Stabling/Shelter: Both ponies currently live out 24/7 on a track system with access to a shelter and are happiest when they have plenty of time outdoors. While they will both settle well in a stable when needed, they do prefer living outside. Companionship: Bilbo and Baileys share a very strong bond and love being together. They take great comfort in each other’s company and can become unsettled when separated. As a result, we are seeking a home where they can remain together, allowing them to continue enjoying their close companionship and familiar routine. Keeping them as a pair will help them feel secure, settled, and happy in their new environment. Forage/Feed: No regular feed but both will have a little bit of Happy hoof every now and again, on 24/7 grazing. Medication: N/A Farrier: Both are good for the farrier and are barefoot. Dentist: Sedated as standard Bransby Horses procedure. Vices: N/A Vet: Baileys does feel the cold during the winter months and benefits from appropriate rugging and shelter during poor weather. She has occasionally experienced locking stifle; however, this is easily managed and is rarely an issue when she is kept out of the elements, with access to either a stable or a field shelter. With suitable management, Baileys remains happy and comfortable in her day-to-day routine.
