Adopter Bono

Beau Bono est venu nous rendre visite avec notre lévrier, Sophie, pour voir comment il s'adapterait à la vie en famille. C'est un grand garçon magnifique, très sympathique, curieux de tout, surtout de la nourriture. Il s'est bien adapté et a dormi tranquillement en bas pendant les deux premières nuits. Le troisième jour, il a réussi à descendre les escaliers et était très fier de lui ! Nous avons dû veiller à ce qu'il aille régulièrement dans le jardin pour éviter tout accident, ce qui n'est pas inhabituel pour un chien nouveau dans une maison. Il est très affectueux, aime les attentions, les grattouilles derrière les oreilles et sur le ventre. Il a aimé ses promenades, était curieux lorsqu'il rencontrait d'autres chiens et est très joueur. Son jeu était un peu trop intense pour notre lévrier actuel qui a 10 ans. Il voulait clairement être le "chien dominant" et pourrait être mieux seul dans une maison. Il est probablement trop grand, fort et maladroit pour une maison avec des enfants petits. Nous étions très tristes quand nous avons ramené Bono, nous l'adorions vraiment mais nous ne sommes tout simplement pas le bon foyer pour lui. Il fera un excellent compagnon pour les bons maîtres. Il a besoin d'un foyer actif avec quelqu'un qui a le temps d'investir dans son éducation. Son amour pour la nourriture devrait aider ! Un grand jardin pour des parties de course folles et probablement d'être le seul chien. Nous espérons qu'il trouvera rapidement le bon foyer, c'est un si gentil garçon. Handsome Bono came to stay with us and our greyhound, Sophie, to see how he would get on in a house. He’s a big, gorgeous, good natured boy, interested in everything, especially food. He settled in well and happily slept downstairs for the first two nights. On day 3 he managed to figure out stairs and was very pleased with himself! We did have to make sure he went in the garden regularly to avoid any accidents but that’s not unusual for a dog new to being in a home. He’s very affectionate, loves attention, ear and belly rubs. He enjoyed his walks, was curious when he met other dogs and is very playful. His playing was a bit too much for our current greyhound who’s 10. He definitely wanted to be ‘top dog’ and might be best being the only dog in a house. He’s probably a bit big, strong and clumsy for a home with small children. We were very sad when we dropped Bono back, we really did adore him but we just aren’t the right home for him. He will make an absolutely wonderful pet for the right people. He needs an active home with someone who has the time to invest in training. His love of food should help! A big garden for zoomies and probably being the only dog. We do hope he finds the right home soon, he’s such a lovely boy. Thank you to Holly and Sophie for the photograph and video.
