Gijsje is a sweet little boy who has one thing on his mind: food. From day one, he knew exactly what he wanted, the best spot at the table. And sometimes, he had to fight for it. But Gijsje is more than just a little foodie. He's a curious and gentle kitten who wants to explore the world. He watches his siblings play, and then decides he needs to join in. The tunnels are approved, the balls are chased with enthusiasm, and the scratching posts have been thoroughly tested by this little adventurer. Gijsje has a playful but calm personality. He likes to join in, but doesn't need to be the center of attention all the time. One thing remains the same: when there's food around, Gijsje is there. This little gourmet is ready for his next big adventure: a forever home where he can play, explore, grow, and most importantly... eat. And preferably with a playmate. Als Gijsje zichzelf mocht voorstellen, zou hij het waarschijnlijk kort houden: “Waar staat mijn eten?” Want vanaf dag één was voor deze kleine man één ding glashelder: eten staat bovenaan de lijst. Bij zijn allereerste eetmomentjes wist hij al precies wat hij wilde, namelijk het beste plekje aan “de tafel”. En daar moest hij soms flink voor strijden. Maar Gijsje is uiteraard veel meer dan een kleine lekkerbek. Hij is een heerlijk rustig en nieuwsgierig katertje dat stap voor stap de wereld wil ontdekken. Eerst kijkt hij aandachtig wat zijn broertje en zusjes uitspoken, en dan besluit hij dat hij er natuurlijk ook bij moet zijn. De speeltunnels zijn inmiddels goedgekeurd, de balletjes worden fanatiek achtervolgd en de krabpalen hebben al een grondige test ondergaan van deze kleine avonturier. Gijsje heeft een fijne, speelse maar rustige persoonlijkheid. Hij doet gezellig mee, maar hoeft zeker niet voortdurend het middelpunt te zijn. Eén ding blijft wel altijd hetzelfde: is er eten in de buurt, dan is Gijsje erbij. Deze kleine Bourgondiër is klaar voor zijn volgende grote avontuur: een eigen thuis voor altijd, waar hij mag spelen, ontdekken, groeien en vooral… lekker eten.
