Alternatively, he would suit a family who are happy to accept that he may prefer to be a companion you simply watch go about his hammy antics, rather than having a hands-on relationship. All hamsters require a minimum enclosure size of 100 x 50 x 50cm but with Ginger being a Syrian we would recommend a minimum of 120 x 50 x 50cm.
