7 year young Jemima is a truly beautiful Stafford and one of the gentlest souls you ever could meet. When she first came into our care she was very shy and slightly anxious but soon overcame her timidness and blossomed into the happiest, most confident and relaxed dog. Jemina, like all Staffords, loves human company but is that wonderful combination of totally loving and also independent. She is completely comfortable in her own company and can be left for reasonable amounts of time on her own without in any way becoming stressed.Her level of training is quite high and she has always proved to be a very well-behaved and well-mannered dog. She is a medium energy dog who is quite happy with two half hour walks per day but also has the energy and enthusiasm to walk for much longer, so she would suit a family that on occasions would love to take their dog on an extended walk or hike. Jemina walks beautifully on the lead and could be easily walked by most individuals.Jemima's most definite 'likes' are walking and tummy rubs. She enjoys an occasional chew toy but is just as happy looking out of the window and watching the world go by. She is a smart cookie, learns very quickly and is always eager to please.Jemina travels well in the car, sleeps very well at night and is fully housetrained.Jemima would be suitable for a family with children aged 8 years and above.Jemima would be suitable to be rehomed with another, comparable energy dog who also has a similar laid-back personality to her own.For a family that is looking to adopt an all-round excellent Stafford who is well-balanced, calm, sensible and mature, Jemima would be a perfect match. She has no issues whatsoever that would need to be dealt with and is a most delightful little dog.PLEASE NOTE: Jemina has lived in harmony with Jasper who is also available for adoption on our page for five years. We would love the two to be rehomed as a couple but it is not a requirement for applying to adopt just her because she would also thrive as an only dog.
