This is Joey! In 2024, two volunteers moved into a house and started taking care of the cats in the garden. There was always food and water available, and they were regularly neutered. Joey came walking in one evening with her mother and a sibling, attracted by the food. After the mother was spayed, the frequency of her visits gradually decreased, while the sibling unfortunately was never seen again. Joey continued to come daily and eventually became a regular customer in the garden. When she was an adult, she was also spayed. Now the volunteers are looking for a golden cradle for her, so she can leave the street life behind. Joey is social. She can live well with other cats and dogs, as long as she is given time to get used to them and the introduction is gradual and done in the right way. As for people, she comes closer to a certain extent, but still doesn't feel comfortable with petting. Her caregivers respect this boundary. She does show the intention and potential to build trust. This must happen in a safe, quiet home environment. Deep down, she is a little rascal. She is adventurous. Joey is playful. Joey loves food. Joey is placed as an indoor cat only. Joey is spayed. Joey is vaccinated.

Dit is Joey! In 2024 betrokken twee vrijwilligsters een huis en begonnen voor de katten in de tuin te zorgen. Er was altijd eten en drinken beschikbaar en ze werden regelmatig geneutraliseerd. Joey kwam op een avond aanlopen met haar moeder en een broertje of zusje, aangetrokken door het voer. Nadat de moeder was gesteriliseerd nam de frequentie van haar bezoeken geleidelijk af, terwijl het broertje of zusje helaas nooit meer is gezien. Joey bleef dagelijks komen en werd uiteindelijk een vaste klant in de tuin. Toen ze volwassen was is ze ook gesteriliseerd. Nu zoeken de vrijwilligsters een gouden mandje voor haar, zodat ze het straatleven achter zich kan laten. Joey is sociaal. Ze kan prima samenleven met andere katten en honden, mits ze de tijd krijgt om te wennen en de introductie geleidelijk en op de juiste manier manier verlopen. Wat mensen betreft: ze komt tot op zekere hoogte dichterbij, maar voelt zich niog niet prettig bij aaien. Haar verzorgsters respecteren deze grens. Ze toont wel de intentie en potentie om vertrouwen op te bouwen. Dit moet wel gebeuren in een veilige, rustige thuisomgeving. Diep van binnen is ze een kleine deugniet. Ze is avontuurlijk. Joey is speels. Joey is dol op eten. Joey wordt alleen als binnenkat geplaatst. Joey is gesteriliseerd. Joey is gevaccineerd.
