Kalmo is a large dog with a hint of distrust toward humans. Although he’s not an overly affectionate dog and his past experiences with people have made him shy away from human contact, he’s making steady progress. He loves taking walks in the forest; on the exercise yard, he wags his tail happily and follows the volunteers around, hoping for a delicious dog treat. By adopting a dog, you take responsibility for the life of a living being for the next dozen or so years. An animal is not a possession. We do not give dogs away on chains! A condition of adoption is signing an adoption agreement, covering the costs of preventive care, and agreeing to possible pre- and post-adoption visits. It’s also a requirement that the dog undergo sterilization or castration at a specified time, unless this procedure has already been performed.

Kalmo jest dużym psem z nutą nieufności do człowieka. Mimo tego, że nie jest psem wylewnym a jego doświadczenia z ludźmi sprawiły, że stronił od kontaktów z nimi to robi coraz większe postępy. Uwielbia spacery po lesie, na wybiegu macha ogonkiem i chodzi za wolontariuszami w nadziei na pyszny psi przysmak. Poszukujemy domu dla Kalmo w którym człowiek jest cierpliwy i wyrozumiały.
