Kuddel is a great guy, a real buddy. He's affectionate, cuddly, and a great conversationalist, really a dream cat. But it wasn't always like that. When he arrived at the shelter, he was completely distraught and initially attacked everything and everyone. We don't know what he experienced and what happened to him, but he had to slowly build trust. He has really developed well, but sometimes a little bit of what traumatized him still comes through. Therefore, he is looking for people who won't mind a little hit in case of doubt. This happens very rarely, though. Children in his new home should be older. Kuddel comes with a lot of fur, a lot of fur, so he would need some support to keep it fluffy. But he is mostly very cooperative with grooming and lets it (almost) always go well. And now comes Kuddel's biggest problem. He has FiV, also known as cat aids. Currently, he is doing well and apart from occasional mild gingivitis, he is fit. With FIV, he can also lead a long, beautiful life. A few points must be absolutely observed, for example, he has a poorly trained immune system, as the virus causes an immune deficiency, so he can fight secondary infections worse. So a quiet, stress-free environment, high-quality nutrition and quick reaction from the owner are important if he shows signs of illness, then veterinary advice should be sought as soon as possible. Kuddel is also very social with his own kind. He will never be placed in a single cat in the apartment, a friendly companion would be absolutely necessary, as well as a secured balcony or a secured outdoor enclosure, because Kuddel knows the freedom and loves to lounge around in the outdoor enclosure in wind and weather. Kuddel ist ein klasse Kerl, so ein richtiger Kumpeltyp. Er ist anhänglich, schmusig und ein klasse Gesprächspartner und wirklich ein Traumkater. Das war aber nicht immer so. Bei seiner Ankunft im Tierheim war er völlig verstört und hat zunächst erstmal alles und jeden angegriffen. Wir wissen nicht, was er erlebt hat und was im wiederfahren ist, aber er musste erstmal langsam Vertrauen aufbauen. Inzwischen hat er sich wirklich toll entwickelt, aber ab und zu kommt doch noch mal ein wenig durch, was auch immer ihn so traumatisiert hat. Daher sucht er Menschen, die ihm im Zweifelsfall einen kleinen Hieb nicht übelnehmen, Das passiert tatsächlich aber nur noch selten. Kinder in seinem neuen Zuhause sollten aber schon älter sein. Kuddel kommt übrigens mit viel Fell, sehr viel Fell, da bräuchte er dann auch etwas Unterstützung, damit es so schön fluffig bleibt. Aber er ist bei der Fellpflege überwiegend sehr kooperativ und lässt es (fast) immer super mit sich machen. Und jetzt kommt Kuddels größtes Problem. Er hat FiV, auch bekannt als Katzen-aids Aktuell geht es ihm gut und bis auf ab und an leichte Gingivitis ist er fit. Mit FIV kann er auch durchaus ein langes, schönes Leben führen. Ein paar Punkte muss man absolut beachten, so hat er z.B. ein schlecht ausgebildetes Immunsystem, da der Virus eine Immunschwäche verursacht, dadurch kann er Sekundärinfektionen schlechter bekämpfen. Wichtig ist für Kuddel also ein ruhiges, stressfreies Umfeld, hochwertige Ernährung und schnelle Reaktion von Seiten des Halters, wenn er Krankheitsanzeichen zeigt, da sollte dann möglichst Zeitnah Tierärztlicher Rat eingeholt werden. Kuddel ist auch innerartlich sehr sozial. Er wird auf keinen Fall als Einzelkatze in die Wohnungshaltung vermittelt. Ein freundliches Partnertier wäre dann zwingend erforderlich, ebenso ein gesicherter Balkon, oder ein gesichertes Außengehege, denn Kuddel kennt Freigang und liebt es bei Wind und Wetter im Außengehege herumzulümmeln.
