She learned not to ask for much, not to hope too easily. And yet, she never stopped being kind. She’s friendly toward people and other dogs, though initially a bit reserved—not because she doesn’t want to be loved, but because she doesn’t know if she’ll be loved in return. Yet with the right person, she truly blossoms. And she becomes exactly what she’s always longed to be: a dog with a family. Today, Kira is in temporary foster care, but this foster placement is coming to an end. We’re now receiving threats that she’ll once again be cast onto the streets—a dog who’s already suffered so much risks ending up back where we painstakingly rescued her from. She’s about two years old, spayed, microchipped, and ready to start a new life. Could you be the one to show her that life isn’t just pain and abandonment? Βρέθηκε μόλις 5 μηνών, μόνη, φοβισμένη, στους δρόμους της πόλης. Ένα μικρό πλάσμα που έψαχνε απεγνωσμένα ένα χάδι, μια αγκαλιά, λίγη ζεστασιά. Αυτή είναι η Κίρα. Ένα πλάσμα που γνώρισε από πολύ νωρίς την εγκατάλειψη και τη σκληρότητα του κόσμου. Την εντόπισε μια φοιτήτρια, προσπάθησε να τη βοηθήσει, μα δεν είχε τη δυνατότητα να τη φροντίσει όπως της άξιζε. Έτσι, με όλες τις νόμιμες διαδικασίες, η Κίρα ήρθε στο σωματείο. Από τότε πέρασε από χίλια κύματα. Μεγάλωσε μέσα στην ανασφάλεια και την προσωρινότητα. Έμαθε να μην ζητάει πολλά, να μην ελπίζει εύκολα. Κι όμως, δεν έπαψε ποτέ να είναι καλή. Είναι φιλική με ανθρώπους και με άλλα σκυλιά, αν και λίγο επιφυλακτική στην αρχή – όχι γιατί δεν θέλει να αγαπήσει, αλλά γιατί δεν ξέρει αν θα την αγαπήσουν πίσω. Με τον σωστό άνθρωπο όμως, ανθίζει. Και γίνεται αυτό που πάντα ήθελε να είναι: σκύλος με οικογένεια. Η Κίρα σήμερα φιλοξενείται προσωρινά, όμως αυτή η φιλοξενία έχει φτάσει στο τέλος της. Δεχόμαστε πλέον απειλές πως θα πεταχτεί και πάλι στον δρόμο. Ένα σκυλί που έχει ήδη υποφέρει τόσο, κινδυνεύει να βρεθεί ξανά εκεί απ’ όπου με κόπο τη σώσαμε. Είναι περίπου 2 ετών, στειρωμένη, με τσιπ και έτοιμη να κάνει ένα νέο ξεκίνημα.
