L'histoire jusqu'à présent... Lilly Mae a une histoire similaire à celle de Moyrus. Elle a été achetée pour les enfants, qui ont fini par laisser tomber et perdre intérêt. Elle était aimée – et c'était partie du problème puisqu'il n'y avait pas eu de décision de la vendre, car trouver un nouveau foyer convenable peut être difficile. Nous avons été contactés en novembre 2020 par un voisin inquiet, espérant désespérément que nous pouvions l'aider à trouver un foyer pour ce petit Shetland charmant qui avait besoin d'un ami (ou deux). Après discussions avec le propriétaire, il a été décidé qu'elle serait transférée à la fondation contre un prix. Lilly Mae souffrait malheureusement de laminitis – une condition très douloureuse des sabots – et ses dents avaient besoin d'attention également. Elle avait aussi besoin d'un passeport et de vaccinations, toutes choses coûteuses pour notre fondation. Lilly Mae allait bientôt mieux grâce à...

She was bought for children, who eventually outgrew her and lost interest. She was loved – and that was part of the reason that there had been no decision to part with her, as finding a suitable new home can be difficult.We were contacted in November 2020 by a concerned neighbour, desperately hoping that we could help find a home for this wee Shetland cutie, who needed a friend (or two).After discussions with the owner, it was decided that she should be signed over to the charity for a fee. Lilly Mae was unfortunately suffering from laminitis – a very painful condition of the hooves – and her teeth required attention too.
