Podenca Limoncello arrived at the animal shelter with her siblings. The mother was not surrendered along with them. As a result, the puppies are on their own, and we don’t know the parents of these sweet Podencos. Of course, Limoncello would like to move into a real home as soon as possible and leave the shelter behind—after all, this isn’t the right place for puppies. The future owner of Limoncello should clearly understand what it means to take in a puppy and be aware of the breed-specific characteristics that Limoncello possesses! They should be prepared to invest plenty of time and patience in training so that Limoncello can grow into a wonderful family member. We kindly ask that you think carefully beforehand about whether a puppy—with its demanding needs—is truly the right fit for your life. It’s also important that visiting a dog school brings joy to your new companion, allowing both of you to learn and grow together. Taking responsibility for an animal shelter dog is always a special challenge. These dogs carry a backpack of past experiences or unlearned situations with them and need time to adjust to their new life. Podenca Limoncello kam mit ihren Geschwistern ins Tierheim. Die Mama wurde nicht mit abgegeben. Somit sind die Welpen auf sich gestellt und wir kennen die Eltern der süßen Podencos nicht. Limoncello möchte natürlich so schnell wie möglich in ein echtes Zuhause ziehen und das Tierheim hinter sich lassen – schließlich ist das nicht der richtige Ort für die Welpen. Den zukünftigen Menschen von Limoncello sollte klar sein, was es bedeutet einen Welpen aufzunehmen und welche Rasseeigenschaften in Limoncello stecken! Sie sollten bereit sein, viel Zeit und Geduld in die Erziehung zu investieren, damit Limoncello zu einem wunderbaren Familienmitglied heranwachsen kann. Wir bitten darum, sich im Vorfeld darüber Gedanken zu machen, ob ein Welpe, mit seinen anspruchsvollen Bedürfnissen, gerade in Ihr Leben passt. Auch der Besuch einer Hundeschule sollte ihren Menschen Spaß bereiten, um gemeinsam zu lernen und zu wachsen. Die Verantwortung für einen Tierschutzhund ist immer eine besondere Herausforderung. Die Hunde bringen einen Rucksack mit vergangenen Erlebnissen oder ungelernten Situationen mit und brauchen Zeit sich an ihr neues Leben zu gewöhnen.
