Marie is a 5-year-old very shy and reserved female cat. She needs time and patience to feel secure, but when she gains confidence, she can be gentle and affectionate, appreciating calm and tender moments. Marie gets along well with other cats and can live with calm children who respect her pace and sensitivity. However, she cannot cohabitate with dogs. Marie is FIV positive (feline AIDS), which weakens her immune system, meaning she must live indoors and receive regular veterinary care. FIV cats can live many years with good quality of life. The virus is not transmissible to humans or other animals besides cats. She seeks a gentle and patient home where she can flourish at her own pace.
