May May has now been at the refuge for many, many months and has made some small progress already. We’re convinced that she’d open up much more readily in a foster home or permanent home than she does in the Spanish animal shelter. Over the months, she’s managed to build a good bond of trust with her caregiver, but she’s still shy and uncertain around strangers. She needs time and patience, and then she’ll surely become an indispensable companion. May is cheerful, playful, loves ball games and fetching, gets along well with her canine buddy, and is very tolerant of other dogs. She was given up by her owner, who no longer had any use for the lovely little dog. We’re not giving up hope that she’ll still get the chance to go abroad. May May ist nun schon viele, viele Monate im Refugio, hat jetzt auch ein paar kleine Fortschritte gemacht. Wir sind überzeugt, dass sie sich in einer Pflegestelle oder einem Zuhause wesentlich besser öffnen könnte als im spanischen Tierheim. Zu ihrer Pflegerin hat sie über die Monate schon gutes Vertrauen aufbauen können, bei Fremden ist sie noch scheu und unsicher. Sie muss Zeit und Geduld bekommen, dann wird sie sich sicherlich zu einem nicht mehr wegzudenkenden Begleiter entpuppen. May ist fröhlich, verspielt, liebt Ballspiele und auch apportieren, ist gut Freund mit ihrem Hundekumpel und sehr gut verträglich. Sie wurde seinerzeit von ihrem Halter abgegeben, der keine Verwendung mehr für die hübsche Hündin hatte. Wir geben die Hoffnung nicht auf, dass sie noch die Chance zur Ausreise bekommt.
