Mogli is a large and extremely lovable seven-year-old cat who is initially a bit shy. He came to us because his people's living situation changed and their care could no longer be ensured. Attempts to socialize him with a dog did not work. This is probably because Mogli has lived very sheltered as an individual cat in pure indoor housing so far. Since he is rather cautious and quickly overwhelmed in unfamiliar situations, we do not want to take any risks in this regard in the future and are looking for a home for the stately cat where he can be the single prince. Since Mogli is probably overwhelmed by life as an outdoor cat due to his insecurities and "lack of life experience", we also prefer indoor housing with sensitive and quiet people who have plenty of time for him in the future. Since Mogli recently moved to a private foster home where he now makes his "foster dad" happy while waiting for his new people, we are absolutely sure that the proper cat boy will be a wonderful and loving companion in his future "right" home as well. By the way: Mogli already has one small problem - and that is his weight, which is significantly too high. Although pampering in the new home is certainly welcome, this should by no means refer to feeding. Mogli absolutely needs to lose weight for health reasons and his new people must help him! Mogli ist ein großer und überaus liebenswerter sieben Jahre alter Kater, der besonders anfangs ein bisschen schüchtern ist. Zu uns kam er, weil sich die Lebenssituation seiner Menschen verändert hat und seine Betreuung deshalb nicht mehr gesichert werden konnte. Versuche, ihn mit einem Hund zu vergesellschaften, haben nicht funktioniert. Das liegt vermutlich daran, dass Mogli bislang sehr behütet als Einzelkatze in reiner Wohnungshaltung lebte. Da er eher vorsichtig und in fremden Situationen schnell überfordert ist, wollen wir künftig in dieser Hinsicht kein Risiko eingehen und suchen für den stattlichen Kater ein Zuhause, in dem er Einzelprinz sein darf. Da Mogli aufgrund seiner Unsicherheiten und „mangelnder Lebenserfahrung“ vermutlich mit einem Leben als Freigänger überfordert wäre, bevorzugen wir auch für die Zukunft Wohnungshaltung bei sensiblen und ruhigen Menschen, die viel Zeit für ihn haben. Da Mogli kürzlich auf eine private Pflegestelle ziehen durfte, wo er nun seinen „Pflegepapa“ glücklich macht während er auf seine neuen Leute wartet, sind wir absolut sicher, dass der propere Katzenjunge auch in seinem künftigen „richtigen“ Zuhause ein ganz wunderbarer und liebevoller Gefährte sein wird. Apropos proper: Ein kleines Problem hat Mogli schon – und das ist sein Gewicht, das deutlich zu hoch ist. Obwohl Verwöhnen im neuen Zuhause durchaus erwünscht ist, sollte sich das auf keinen Fall aufs Füttern beziehen. Mogli muss, um seiner Gesundheit willen, unbedingt abspecken und dabei müssen ihm seine neuen Leute helfen! Das funktioniert mit einem disziplinierten Futterplan, aber auch durch regelmäßige Spielanimation, die für ausreichend Bewegung des gemütlichen Riesen sorgt.
