Nev et Isla sont un couple de chiens chihuahuas très petits à la recherche de leur fin heureuse ensemble. Nev a environ 6 ans et Isla environ 8. Ils ont eu un passé difficile et sont entrés en garde manquant de confiance et peu habitués à beaucoup de manipulations. Depuis qu'ils sont avec nous, nous construisons progressivement leur confiance jour après jour. Nev est le plus confiant des deux et commence à apprécier les promenades et à trouver du réconfort auprès de ses humains. Isla est encore très timide, mais avec de la patience et de la bienveillance, elle commence à montrer de petits signes de progrès. Ils peuvent être facilement effrayés et auront besoin d'un soutien continu pour renforcer leur confiance pendant les promenades. Ils travaillent encore sur leurs compétences sociales avec les autres chiens, donc nous pensons qu'ils seront mieux adaptés à un foyer sans chien pour l'instant, leur permettant ainsi de s'adapter et de se stabiliser uniquement avec leurs humains. Ces deux-là auront besoin d'un foyer très patient et compréhensif avec une expérience des chihuahuas. Un foyer calme, réservé aux adultes, sans enfants, est essentiel afin qu'ils puissent continuer à gagner en confiance à leur propre rythme. Ils recherchent quelqu'un prêt à leur accorder le temps, la compréhension et l'amour qu'ils méritent depuis toujours. Ils ont rencontré d'autres chiens et peuvent être vocaux lors de premières rencontres. Nous considérerions des foyers avec des chiens calmes et non perturbés capables de les ignorer, leur donnant l'espace dont ils ont besoin pour s'adapter et se stabiliser lentement. À notre charge, Nev et Isla ont eu une intervention dentaire et ont été stérilisés.

Nev and Isla are a tiny Chihuahua duo looking for their happy ever after together. Nev is approximately 6 years old and Isla around 8. They have sadly not had the best past and came into care lacking confidence and not used to much handling. Since being with us, we are slowly building trust with them day by day. Nev is the more confident of the pair and is starting to enjoy walks and taking comfort from his humans. Isla is still very withdrawn, but with patience and kindness she is beginning to show little signs of progress. They can get spooked quite easily and will need continued confidence building and support out on walks. They are also still working on their dog socialisation skills, so we feel they would be better suited to a dog-free home for now, allowing them the chance to properly adjust and settle with just their humans. These two will need a very patient and understanding home with Chihuahua experience. A quiet adult-only home with no children is essential so they can continue to grow in confidence at their own pace. They are looking for someone willing to give them the time, understanding and love they have always deserved. They have met other dogs and can be vocal on frist meets. We would consider homes with calm unbothered dogs who are able to ignore them, giving them the space they require to adjust and settle in slowly. Both Nev and Isla have had a dental while with us and been neutered.
