Adopter Paloma - Senior Alert

Paloma and her friend Laika were given away by one of their owners after their papa passed away. They landed from a home, sofa, familiar faces, to a kennel in a loud shelter full of unfamiliar people. It is a hard shock for all dogs abandoned from a home, but especially the very senior dogs. Paloma is a small-medium Labrador type of senior girl, who absolutely loves to go for walks, and becomes really happy and active when it is time for walkies. She also loves to run like a young girl in the dog park and really enjoys physical activity! She is so mobile, so agile for her age, we could not believe she is 14 years old! So Paloma definitely still has some life left to live, and she would best live it next to a human who likes to go for 1 active walk a day (and the rest of the walkies just little walks), and ideally Paloma would have a little garden or terracein her home, where she could enjoy moving around. Paloma is very friendly with humans, though of course quite stressed and focused at the moment in the shelter environment Paloma also really loves delicious snacks and takes them with enthusiasm! Her shoulder height is 45cm. She will receive a dental cleaning, nail cutting, health check and a bath in the shelter. Paloma & Laika can be adopted together, but do not necessarily have to, because they have very different tempos and energies, and even though they support each other of course, they would both strive in their golden years in different individual homes. Laika will enjoy to be on the sofa snuggling with her human, while Paloma seems to still desire to spend the remaining of her life quite physically active! It is however a requirement that in case they go to their individual homes, both dogs must leave the shelter at the same time, so neither is left behind. All of our seniors are looking for forever homes or forever fosters. The shelter will always be available for medical & behavioral support for seniors in their retirement homes.
