Peanut is a seizure-prone dog who has become conspicuous within her family environment. Despite lifelong training and educational efforts, her human family has struggled to maintain a normal life—eventually, the family grew larger, and children joined the household. Peanut is a rather insecure dog who tends to behave defensively when she can, provided her signals are recognized. She doesn’t like being pressured and needs the opportunity to build trust gradually. Children, especially young ones, are simply not equipped to pick up on such subtle cues. Therefore, we’re looking for a home without children—places where Peanut won’t unexpectedly find herself being cuddled or petted by little hands. As is typical for her breed, Peanut has a strong prey drive and doesn’t necessarily need other dogs to be happy, although so far she’s done well as a second dog. Her obsessive need to control everything and her desire to always be in charge must be carefully managed; otherwise, she’ll end up trying to take over the world! Her leash manners are excellent, as is her entire training record. From companion dog training to various agility disciplines and even obtaining a dog handler’s license—all of this is documented in Peanut’s “school report.” At the shelter, she quickly won over many fans among the staff team. In public, she wears a muzzle without any fuss—Peanut is used to it and has no problem with it at all. Her vet visits have gone smoothly, and she handles car rides just fine too. She was handed over with the note that she’s an epilepsy patient, complete with emergency medication—but so far, there’s been no need to use it. Her thyroid also requires support in the form of daily, inexpensive tablet administration. If you’re interested in adopting Peanut, you’ll still need to confirm with the relevant authorities whether any additional requirements need to be met. We’re seeking an experienced household without children, one with stable routines and clear rules that Peanut can rely on. Ideally, the home would share some sporting interests within a healthy framework—and ideally, the people living there would view the muzzle as both a practical aid and a stylish accessory. Whoever wins Peanut’s heart and gives her a fair chance will gain a loyal, team-oriented companion for life!

Peanut ist eine Beschlagnahmung der Region, da sie im familiären Umfeld auffällig geworden ist. Trotz lebenslangen Trainings und Ausbildungsarbeit sind Frauchen am ganz normalen Leben gescheitert – irgendwann wurde die Familie größer und Kinder kamen hinzu. Peanut ist ein eher unsicherer Typ, der sich defensiv verhält, wenn sie kann und ihre Signale erkannt werden. Sie möchte nicht bedrängt werden und braucht die Möglichkeit, Vertrauen zu gewinnen. Kinder, besonders Kleinkinder sind nicht in der Lage, solche Feinheiten zu erkennen. Daher wird ein Zuhause ohne Kinder gesucht, die Peanut unverhofft kuscheln oder streicheln möchten. Sie besitzt rassetypisch Jagdtrieb und benötigt nicht zwingend Artgenossen zu ihrem Glück, obwohl sie bisher gut als Zweithündin zurecht kam. Ihr Kontrollwahn und der Wunsch, die erste Geige spielen zu wollen, muss gut reguliert werden, sonst reißt sie die Weltherrschaft an sich. Ihre Leinenführigkeit ist toll, ihr Bildungsweg ebenso. Von Begleithundetraining über verschiedene Agilityformen und Hundeführerschein ist alles in Peanuts Schulheft zu finden. Im Tierheim hat sie schnell Fans unterm Mitarbeiterteam gefunden. Im öffentlichen Raum trägt sie anstandslos Maulkorb, das kennt Peanut und hat damit kein Problem. Tierarzt ist tadellos gelaufen, Autofahren ebenso. Sie wurde mit dem Hinweis ein Epilepsiepatient zu sein inclusive Notfallpräperat abgegeben, bisher war ein Einsatz nicht nötig. Ihre Schilddrüse benötigt ebenso Unterstützung in Form täglicher und kostengünstiger Tablettengabe. Bei Übernahmewunsch muss noch abschließend mit den beteiligten Behörden geklärt werden, ob Auflagen erfüllt werden müssen. Gesucht wird ein erfahrener Haushalt ohne Kinder, mit festen Strukturen und Regeln, an denen Peanut sich orientieren kann. Gern mit sportlichen Ambitionen im gesunden Rahmen. Und bei Menschen, die den Maulkorb als Unterstützung und Accessoire betrachten und nutzen. Wer Peanut erobert und ihr eine faire Chance gibt, gewinnt einen loyalen Teamplayer fürs Leben!
