Le vendredi 24 août, nous avons visité à nouveau le refuge vétérinaire Hubert Olędzki. Pour la deuxième fois, le docteur a consacré son temps libre pour examiner l'état dentaire des résidents de notre refuge. Merci à l'engagement du docteur Olędzki, nous avons déjà examiné près de la moitié des chiens de notre refuge, et comme l'a annoncé le docteur, ce n'est pas la fin de ses visites. Grâce à ces visites, nous avons appris quels chiens souffrent le plus et nécessitent une intervention dentaire immédiate. Déjà samedi prochain, deux chiens parmi les plus en besoin partiront chez le docteur pour des procédures, à la Clinique Vétérinaire Bemowo située rue des Étudiants 101, où le docteur Olędzki effectue des interventions et consultations. À cet endroit, nous remercions chaleureusement le vétérinaire Hubert Olędzki pour les consultations gratuites et son engagement en faveur des animaux sans abri. Nous espérons que cela marquera le début d'une collaboration qui aboutira à la santé et moins de souffrance de nos protégés. Une fois de plus, nous vous remercions chaleureusement.

A sweet natured guardian, Ben is a champion chicken protector, happy to be paid in eggs for his work ! Ben was born in a Greek rescue shelter to a stray mum. He spent the first two years of his life living in a single pen with his five brothers, never experiencing the outside world or interacting with other animals. We couldn’t bear the idea of Ben and his siblings existing in a shelter their entire lives so we made a commitment to give each of them a chance by placing them, one at a time, into temporary, paid foster to see whether they could adapt and be homeable in the UK. 4 months ago it was Ben’s turn to be first in foster and we are delighted to say that he passed the test with flying colours. Ben has proven to be incredibly affectionate with humans, other dogs, cats and even chickens. He’s currently living alongside 8 cats, 6 dogs, around 20 hens, and his favourite hobby is following the chickens around, patiently waiting for a fresh egg to appear! But now he is ready, we really need to find Ben his forever home. Could that be you? Once Ben is adopted, we will be able to afford to move another brother into paid foster, giving them the same chance at life outside the shelter.
