Adopter Refurbishment Works Begin at Cardiff Dogs Home

Grâce à la généreuse contribution de nos soutiens et partenaires financiers, notamment une importante donation de la Pets Foundation, The Rescue Hotel a réussi à récolter plus de 500 000 £ pour rénover les abris vétustes et obsolètes au Cardiff Dogs Home. Notre campagne ambitieuse a commencé en décembre 2020, lancée en collaboration avec notre ambassadeur dévoué, Sam Warburton. Au cours des deux dernières années, nous avons mené de nombreuses initiatives de financement et obtenu des subventions. Le dernier objectif a été atteint lorsque la Pets Foundation nous a aidés à dépasser notre cible grâce à une généreuse donation de 180 000 £. La rénovation se déroule en deux phases : la Phase 1 est la phase plus complexe, qui est actuellement en cours. Elle consiste à transformer notre bloc de 4 abris existants en un établissement plus grand comprenant 11 nouveaux abris modernes. La Phase 2 viendra bientôt et consiste à remplacer les 40 abris de notre bâtiment principal par 32 abris neufs et améliorés - aucune travaux de construction n'est nécessaire pour cette phase, ce qui la rend plus rapide et plus simple. Depuis la sécurisation des fonds nécessaires, un grand travail a été effectué en coulisses pour nous amener à ce point. Bien que le montant total collecté soit important, notre budget reste très serré, et nous sommes profondément reconnaissants envers les entreprises qui nous soutiennent en nous offrant des matériaux, du temps et des compétences pour aider à concrétiser ce projet. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters and funding partners — including a major contribution from the Pets Foundation — The Rescue Hotel has successfully raised over £500,000 to refurbish the tired and outdated kennels at Cardiff Dogs Home . Our ambitious campaign began in December 2020 , launched in partnership with our dedicated ambassador, Sam Warburton . Over the course of two years, we ran numerous fundraising initiatives and secured grant awards. The final milestone was reached when the Pets Foundation helped us surpass our target with an extraordinary donation of £180,000 . The refurbishment is being delivered in two phases: Phase 1 is the more complex stage, currently underway. This involves transforming our existing stable block of 4 kennels into a much larger facility with 11 modern kennels . Phase 2 will follow shortly and involves replacing the 40 kennels in our main building with 32 brand-new, upgraded kennels — no structural building work is needed for this phase, making it quicker and more straightforward. Since securing the necessary funds, a great deal of work has taken place behind the scenes to get us to this point. While the total raised is substantial, our budget remains extremely tight, and we are immensely grateful to the businesses who are supporting us by donating materials, time, and expertise to help bring this project to life.
