One of 9 puppies found tied in a plastic bag at the side of the road. Now safe and in foster homes. It's been a hectic few days at foster Casa Betty & Beryl. After arriving late on Monday night, they found a huge cage, which will take them a few weeks before they fill it, lots of snuggly blankets, some yummy formula and two foster brothers who were keeping well away! Since then, they have put on weight, made their way through the first ration of formula, wee-ed on foster mummy a lot, and discovered that her right ear lobe is a great substitute for the bottle when being winded. Yesterday, Betty's eyes started to open, and today - with the aid of a bunched-up blanket, she stood on all fours for a wobbly five seconds. Beryl, meanwhile, was focused on drinking. A girls' got to have priorities, right? This morning, they went for their first vet check-up and came back with a clean bill of health. A long siesta followed, then fortified with a good feed, Beryl decided she could start to open her eyes as well. All is progressing well, and their little personalities are starting to show. Foster mummy is very proud of her little ladies. Please contact us if you would like more information on Betty.
