Découvrez Roo, un adorable chiot ! Little Roo a été apportée à Battersea après avoir eu deux propriétaires différents en seulement 6 mois de vie. Ses derniers propriétaires ont mis beaucoup de temps et d'efforts pour gagner sa confiance et l'aider à s'installer après son réacheminement, mais malheureusement ils ont estimé qu'ils ne pouvaient pas répondre à ses besoins, ce qui a entraîné des comportements excessivement actifs chez Roo tels que mordiller et mâchouiller. Malgré un début de vie difficile, elle reste optimiste, intelligente et motivée ! C'est le chien parfait pour quiconque apprécie l'entraînement ou aime les spaniels ! Roo bénéficierait d'avoir de nouveaux propriétaires ayant une certaine expérience dans le soin d'un chiot énergique et prêts à continuer son entraînement et à renforcer sa confiance dans sa nouvelle maison. Les nouveaux propriétaires devront être patients et prêts à avancer à son rythme lors de l'introduction de nouvelles situations et environnements, notamment dans les domaines où elle a eu des difficultés auparavant. Elle a montré des comportements de mâchouillage et de gardiennage de ressources par le passé, donc elle bénéficierait de propriétaires ayant une certaine expérience dans ces domaines, ou idéalement une expérience spécifique aux spaniels. Roo semble être du type spaniel travailleur, donc elle aura besoin de quelqu'un qui puisse canaliser son énergie de spaniel vers des comportements positifs et des débouchés. Roo est une fille sociable lorsqu'elle rencontre d'autres chiens, elle a su répondre convenablement lorsqu'un autre chien la réprimandait pour être trop enthousiaste. Sur place, Roo a été vue avec divers chiens et a montré une variété de comportements, inquiète, vocale et joueuse, donc elle pourrait potentiellement vivre avec un chien calme et stable qui l'aidera à devenir un adulte confiant et équilibré. Elle a un historique de se montrer trop intense pour les chats dans sa précédente maison. Elle jouait avec eux quand elle était petite, mais à mesure qu'elle grandissait, elle avait du mal à adapter son comportement, voulant toujours jouer. Elle gardait également ses ressources si elles étaient proches. Ses anciens propriétaires avaient aussi des lapins et des cochons d'Inde dans leur jardin, si Roo les voyait, elle aboyait constamment. Roo a également eu des problèmes de gardiennage de ressources autour des chats, donc nous pensons qu'elle ne devrait pas vivre avec des chats ou des petits animaux. Roo serait mieux adaptée à vivre avec des ados sensés qui savent comment gérer son comportement et qui sont capables de ne pas l'exciter ou de l'embarrasser, surtout pendant sa période d'adaptation. Roo avait accès à un jardin privé auparavant et on a décrit qu'elle passait autant de temps à l'extérieur qu'elle le pouvait. En raison de sa jeunesse et de sa race travailleuse qui a plein d'énergie, un jardin est essentiel pour Roo. Meet sweet Roo! Little Roo was brought into Battersea after sadly having had 2 different owners in her short 6 months of life. Her last owners had put in a lot of time and effort to gain her trust and help her settle after rehoming her but sadly they felt they couldn't meet her needs which led to Roo exhibiting over stimulated puppy behaviours such as nipping and mouthing. Despite her rough start to live, she remains optimistic, smart and driven! She is the perfect dog for anyone that enjoys training or loves spaniels! Roo would benefit from having new owners that have some experience in caring for an energetic puppy and who are willing to continue her training and confidence building in her new home. New owners will need to be patient and willing to go at her pace when introducing her to new environments and things and especially in areas that she may have struggled in that past. She has shown mouthing behaviours and some resource guarding on history, so would benefit from owners who have some experience in these areas, and or ideally have Spaniel specific experience. Roo seems to be more the working Spaniel type so will need someone who can channel her spaniel energy towards positive behaviours and outlets. Roo is a sociable girl when meeting other dogs, she has been able to respond appropriately when told off by other dogs for being too much. Onsite Roo has been seen around a range of dogs and has shown a variety of behaviours, worried, vocal and playful so she could potentially live with a calm and steady role model dog that can help her develop into a confident well rounded adult dog. Has a history of being too much for the cats in her previous home. She would play with them when she was little but as she grew she found it difficult to adapt her behaviour, still wanting to play. She would also guard her resources if they were nearby. Her previous owners also had rabbits and guinea pigs in their garden, if Roo could see them she would bark at them constantly. Roo also struggled with resource guarding issues around the cats so feel she should not live with cats or small animals. Roo would be best suited to living with sensible teens who know how to manage her behaviours and are able to not overwhelm and over excite her, especially during her settling in period. Roo previously had access to her own private garden and was described as spending as much time outside as possible. Due to her being a young, working breed who has bundles of energy, a garden is essential for Roo.
