Rufus was found and has apparently been through a lot. His tail was already missing a piece, the wound had become infected and so most of the tail had to be amputated. Only a small stump tail is left. This is usually not a problem for the cat itself. However, other cats are sometimes a bit irritated because the tail is also a kind of communication organ for cats, indicating moods. Rufus is not only a particularly handsome specimen with his red-striped fur, but also a very lovable cat in terms of character, who likes to be stroked. He behaves peacefully towards other cats, but does not specifically seek contact, but seems quite happy when he can be the sole prince. He is very quiet overall, loves cozy warm sleeping places and good food, and should be allowed some outdoor time after the 3-4 week adjustment period.

Rufus wurde gefunden und hat anscheinend schon einiges mitgemacht. Seinem Schwanz fehlte bereits ein Stück, die Wunde hatte sich entzündet und so musste der Großteil des Schwanzes amputiert werden. Nur ein kleiner Stummelschwanz ist übrig geblieben. Das ist in der Regel für die Katze selbst kein Problem. Andere Katzen sind allerdings manchmal etwas irritiert, da der Schwanz bei Katzen ja auch eine Art Mitteilungsorgan ist, der Stimmungen anzeigt. Rufus ist ansonsten nicht nur ein besonders hübsches Exemplar mit seinem rotgetigerten Fell, sondern auch vom Wesen her ein total lieber Kater, der sich gerne streicheln lässt. Anderen Katzen gegenüber verhält er sich meist friedlich, sucht aber nicht explizit Anschluss, sondern scheint ganz zufrieden zu sein, wenn er alleiniger Prinz sein darf. Er ist insgesamt sehr ruhig, liebt kuschelige warme Schlafplätze und gutes Futter, und sollte nach der Eingewöhnungszeit von 3-4 Wochen auch ab und zu etwas Freigang haben dürfen.
