Country of origin: Hungary The charming Samson arrived at the Menhely shelter in Kecskemét on June 25, 2026, through a Hungarian animal welfare organization that doesn't have its own shelter but handles confiscations. Samson didn't come alone— he was accompanied by Sobor and Lennon, as well as three other dogs who unfortunately didn't make it. These dogs had been living with people who had sadly lost control over them. Although they were free, almost wild, they kept reproducing unchecked; they weren't microchipped or vaccinated, and their numbers had grown so high that the owners could no longer manage to care for them properly. The authorities confiscated the dogs, and thanks to the contacts of this Hungarian animal welfare organization, the dogs were distributed among various shelters across Hungary. We sincerely hope that Samson and his two fellow sufferers will soon be able to exchange the shelter for their very own, loving home. At first, Samson is somewhat shy and uncertain, and he needs some time to realize that people mean him no harm and only want what's best for him—a reaction that’s entirely understandable given his past. He’d never known humans to offer him love and affection, but he’s a friendly, kind, and sweet dog who grows braver and more curious every day. Life in the shelter isn’t easy for him, and he’d certainly feel more comfortable in his own home, surrounded by people he can rely on. Slowly but surely, he’s starting to enjoy petting and human attention—and he’d love even more of it, having gone without for far too long. Samson is still quite young and inexperienced, and his new people will need to patiently and lovingly teach him everything a four-legged family member needs to know for the rest of his life. But he’s eager to learn and wants to do everything right. Once he’s settled in and feels secure, Samson would certainly appreciate both physical and mental activities. His new owners will get to discover just how many hidden talents lie within him. Samson gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and having a confident second dog by his side could help him adjust more easily to his new life. For our wonderful and brave Samson, we’re looking for loving, patient, and dog-experienced people who’ll let him arrive without any expectations and allow him to set his own pace. We’re looking for people who’ll give him everything he’s never had before: lots of cuddles and snuggles, a warm and soft spot to sleep, plenty of love, security, and safety, daily varied walks, and of course, full inclusion in the family. Samson will repay you tenfold and become an amazing companion. Who will give sensitive Samson a chance? When Samson first arrived at the shelter, he had a skin problem, and he’s currently undergoing treatment for it (as of July 31, 2026). Samson will be ready to travel from around the end of August 2026, once he’s found a permanent home or a foster placement.

Ursprungsland: Ungarn Der bezaubernde Samson kam am 25.6.2026 über eine ungarische Tierschutzorganisation, welche zwar kein eigenes Tierheim hat, aber sich um Beschlagnahmungen kümmert, ins Menhely nach Kecskemét. Samson kam nicht alleine, sondern mit Sobor und Lennon, sowie drei anderen Hunden, welche es leider nicht geschafft haben. Sie lebten bei Leuten, welche leider die Kontrolle über ihre Hunde verloren haben. Sie waren zwar frei, fast wild, vermehrten sich aber laufend, waren weder gechipt noch geimpft und die Anzahl der Hunde war bereits so hoch, dass es den Besitzern gar nicht mehr möglich war, sich um diese Hunde zu kümmern. Die Behörden beschlagnahmten die Hunde und über die Kontakte dieser ungarischen Tierschutzorganisation, wurden die Hunde auf verschiedene Shelter in ganz Ungarn verteilt. Wir hoffen ganz fest, dass Samson und seine zwei Leidensgenossen das Tierheim bald gegen ein eigenes, liebevolles Daheim tauschen dürfen. Samson ist anfangs etwas schüchtern und unsicher und braucht etwas Zeit, bis er merkt, dass man es gut mit ihm meint und ihm nix Böses will, was bei seiner Vorgeschichte auch absolut verständlich ist. Er kannte es nicht, dass Menschen ihm Liebe und Zuneigung geben, aber er ist ein freundlicher, netter und lieber Hundemann, welcher jeden Tag etwas mutiger und neugieriger wird. Die Tierheimsituation ist nicht einfach für ihn und in einem eigenen Daheim, würde er sich bestimmt wohler fühlen und Menschen an seiner Seite zu wissen, auf welche er sich verlassen kann. Langsam geniesst er Streicheleinheiten ebenso wie menschliche Zuwendung und hätte gerne mehr davon, zu lange musste er darauf verzichten. Samson ist noch ganz grün hinter den Ohren und seine neuen Menschen müssen ihm geduldig und liebevoll alles beibringen, was ein Vierbeiner als Familienmitglied für sein weiteres Leben wissen muss. Doch er ist gewillt zu lernen und möchte alles richtig machen. Über körperliche und geistige Beschäftigung würde sich Samson zu gegebener Zeit sicherlich freuen, wenn er erst in Ruhe angekommen ist. Welche ungeahnten Talente in ihm stecken, dürfen dann seine neuen Besitzer rausfinden. Mit seinen Artgenossen versteht sich Samson prima und ein souveräner Zweithund könnte ihm helfen, im neuen Leben einfacher Fuss zu fassen. Für unseren wundervollen und tapferen Samson suchen wir liebe, geduldige und hundeerfahrene Menschen welche Samson erstmal ohne Erwartungen ankommen und ihn sein Tempo selber bestimmen lassen. Ihm all das geben, was ihm bisher nicht vergönnt war. Ganz viele Streicheleinheiten und Knuddelstunden, ein warmes und weiches Plätzchen zum Schlafen, viel Liebe, Geborgenheit und Sicherheit, täglich abwechslungsreiche Spaziergänge und natürlich vollen Familienanschluss. Samson wird es Ihnen tausendfach zurück geben und ein wunderbarer Gefährte sein. Wer gibt dem sensiblen Samson eine Chance? Samson hatte als er ins Tierheim kam ein Hautproblem, er ist damit in Behandlung (Stand 31.7.2026). Samson kann ab ca. Ende August 2026 reisen, wenn er ein Zuhause oder eine Pflegestelle gefunden hat.
