30-05-26 Shelby est un adorable garçon qui est venu nous rejoindre auprès de son éleveur après avoir été renvoyé par une famille. On nous a dit que les enfants de sa précédente maison étaient trop nombreux pour lui et qu'ils le perturbaient souvent sans toujours le manipuler avec douceur, ce qui a laissé Shelby besoin d'un peu plus de réconfort et de compréhension. En raison de cela, nous pensons que Shelby serait le plus heureux dans une maison réservée aux adultes, où il se sentira en sécurité, en confiance et véritablement détendu. Avant d'arriver à Many Tears, Shelby a passé un certain temps dans une famille d'accueil où il était absolument merveilleux, montrant à quel point il peut être affectueux et adaptable dans un environnement approprié. C'est un garçon sympathique et affectueux qui aime être câliné et apprécie d'être soulevé et flatté. Nous pensons qu'avec la bonne famille, il va devenir un compagnon merveilleux ! On nous a dit qu'il y avait eu une occasion où Shelby s'était un peu trop excité et avait commencé à garder son couverture après l'avoir montée. Nous continuerons à le surveiller et à l'évaluer, mais cela a pu être un incident isolé qui s'est apaisé après castration. Toutefois, c'est quelque chose dont les adoptants devront être conscients et à l'aise pour gérer. Étant donné que Shelby a déjà vécu dans une maison, il est possible qu'il soit déjà dressé, bien qu'il puisse avoir besoin de quelques rappels et d'une certaine patience pendant qu'il s'habitue à sa nouvelle routine. Shelby pourrait vivre heureusement avec d'autres chiens ou profiter de la vie en tant que seul chien de la maison, à condition que ses adoptants soient présents la plupart du temps et aient beaucoup de temps à lui consacrer. Il marche bien en laisse et adorera faire des promenades et des aventures avec sa nouvelle famille. Nos vétérinaires ont noté que Shelby présente une luxation de la rotule de grade 2, ce qui peut s'améliorer avec le temps et des exercices doux, mais ne serait pas couvert par l'assurance. Shelby possède un document de voyage. Shelby a reçu le "Gift of Lift" par Nicola Harper-Gibbons. Ce chien peut être adopté avec un autre chien résident.

30-05-26 Shelby is a fantastic boy who came to us from his breeder after he was returned to them from a home. We are told that the children in his previous home were too much for him and were allowed to bother him and didn't always handle him gently, which has left Shelby needing a little extra reassurance and understanding. Due to this, we feel Shelby would be happiest in an adult-only home where he can feel safe, secure, and truly relax. Before arriving at Many Tears, Shelby spent some time in a foster home where he was absolutely fabulous, showing just how loving and adaptable he can be in the right environment. He is a friendly and affectionate boy who loves to be cuddled and enjoys being picked up and fussed. We think in the right home he is going to make the most wonderful companion! We are told that there was one occasion where Shelby got a little too over excited and started to guard his blanket after humping it. We will continue to monitor and assess him, but it may well have been a one-off incident that settles following neutering. However, this is something his adopters will need to be aware of and comfortable managing. As Shelby has previously lived in a home, he may already be house trained, although he may need a few reminders and some patience while he settles into his new routine. Shelby could happily live with other dogs or enjoy life as the only dog in the home, provided his adopters are around most of the time and have plenty of time to spend with him. He can walk well on a lead and will love to go on walks and adventures with his new family. Our vets have noted that Shelby has a Grade 2 luxating patella, this may improve with time and gentle exercise, but would not be coverable by insurance. Shelby has a travel document.
