Sina and Jimmy ended up at the animal shelter because their owner was sent to prison for an extended period. The cats were previously doing well there, but were quite upset when they came to us and are still not easy to handle. Additionally, Jimmy tested positive for FiV, which makes things more complicated. When Sina sleeps, and you take the opportunity to interact with him, it takes a while before he stops hissing and relaxes, and then you can pet him, which he also enjoys. Sina only plays occasionally, and we haven't been able to get Jimmy to play so far. Those who have read the text so far know that it's very difficult to find a new home for the two. However, you have to consider that a stay at the shelter is always a special situation for cats, it's a lot of stress, and depending on how sensitive the animals are and how much they've experienced in their previous lives, they react differently to their stay with us. We've noticed that especially the anxious and sensitive creatures behave very differently in a permanent home, they are much more balanced and cuddly. We can't predict with certainty how Sina and Jimmy will behave in a new home, but we think they will be much more sociable once they've settled in. The ideal home for the two would probably be: a quiet living situation, preferably with a single man, no children, cats or dogs in the household. Cat experience, patience and empathy should be present.

Auch das kommt vor: Sina und Jimmy landeten im Tierheim, weil ihr Besitzer für längere Zeit ins Gefängnis musste. Den Katzen ging es vorher dort aber wohl recht gut, waren bei uns allerdings erst ziemlich verstört und sind auch jetzt noch leider nicht ganz einfach zu handhaben. Darüber hinaus wurde Jimmy FiV-positiv getestet, was die Wenn Sina schläft, und man die Gelegenheit nutzt, um sich mit ihm zu beschäftigen, so dauert es ein ganzes Weilchen, bis er nicht mehr faucht, sondern sich entspannt, und dann darf man ihn auch streicheln, was ihm dann auch gefällt. Sina spielt nur vereinzelt etwas, Jimmy konnten wir bisher nicht zum Spielen bewegen. Wer den Text bis jetzt durchgelesen hat, weiß jetzt, dass es sehr schwierig ist, die beiden zu vermitteln. Allerdings muss man bedenken, dass ein Tierheimaufenthalt immer eine spezielle Situation für Katzen bedeutet, es ist sehr viel Stress, und je nachdem, wie sensibel die Tiere sind und wie viel sie in ihrem bisherigen Leben schon erfahren durften, reagieren sie unterschiedlich auf den Aufenthalt bei uns. Wir haben festgestellt, dass sich besonders die ängstlichen und sensiblen Wesen in einem festen Zuhause ganz anders benehmen, viel ausgeglichener und schmusiger sind. Wie sich Sina und Jimmy in einem neuen Zuhause verhalten, können wir natürlich nicht mit Sicherheit vorhersagen, aber wir denken schon, dass sie dort viel umgänglicher sind, sobald sie sich etwas eingelebt haben. Das ideale Zuhause für die beiden sieht vermutlich so aus: Ruhige Wohnsituation, möglichst bei einem alleinlebenden Mann, keine Kinder, Katzen oder Hunde im Haushalt. Katzenerfahrung, Geduld und Einfühlungsvermögen sollte vorhanden sein.
