Meet beautiful Tess! She is looking for a calm and understanding home where she can truly settle and blossom. Tess can be a nervous girl when she first meets you and needs a little time to feel safe. Once she gets to know and trust you, her lovely personality starts to shine through, and you see her friendly and affectionate side. She is naturally quite quiet and would really benefit from an adopter who can take things at her pace and help build her confidence. Experience with the breed would be an advantage, as someone who understands her nature will be best placed to help her thrive. Tess came into our care suffering from Conjunctivitis, which is now being treated by our vet. She has been such a good girl having her eye drops every day and takes it all in her stride. Tess has interacted with other dogs while with us, but at the moment she tends to avoid them and will sometimes bark if she feels uncomfortable. For this reason, we feel she would be happiest as the only dog in the home. The adopter will need to continue gently working on her confidence around other dogs so she can become more comfortable in their presence. Tess is looking for a quiet, patient home with someone who won’t expect too much from her too soon. Given time, reassurance and kindness, this sweet girl will form a wonderful bond with her new family. Tess just needs someone willing to give her the chance to feel safe, build her confidence and discover how lovely life in a forever home can be. She will benefit from a private secure garden. As Tess came into the home as a stray we have no previous history on her so would prefer any children in the home to be 14+ years. We are unsure how Tess would react around cats.
