19-07-26 Ulyssa has come to us from a breeder to find the loving forever home she deserves. She is a very scared little girl who is feeling overwhelmed by all the changes in her life. She will need plenty of kindness, patience and reassurance as she begins to settle and learn that the world can be a safe place. Ulyssa is looking for a calm, quiet, adult-only home with adopters who have experience of helping scared ex-breeding dogs. She will need a family who understand that progress may be slow at times and who will allow her to build trust at her own pace without expecting too much too soon. Ulyssa takes great comfort from the company of other dogs and will need to live with at least one other kind and confident resident dog who can help guide her, reassure her and show her that people and home life are nothing to be afraid of. Having a canine friend will be essential in helping her grow in confidence. She has never lived in a home before, so her new family will need to be patient and understanding while she learns all about home life and new skills like house training. She does not yet walk on a lead or harness and will need to first practice around the home and garden until she is feeling brave enough to venture further. Ulyssa is a gentle soul who has a long journey ahead of her, but with experienced, compassionate adopters and the support of a confident canine companion, she will slowly begin to blossom. Watching a frightened dog learn to trust and enjoy life is incredibly rewarding, and Ulyssa deserves the chance to experience the love and security she has always missed. Ulyssa has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
