His condition was deplorable... fleas, ticks, scabs all over his body, to make matters worse he tested positive for leishmania and had a thorn stuck in his eye that would cause him to lose it. As soon as he arrived in Madrid with us, we went straight to the vet where after two long hours of grooming, he left behind the scabs, fleas and ticks that were causing him unbearable itching. He began taking his medication for leishmania and that day he slept warm and without pain in his foster home, where a few days later he was seen with pain and blood in his urine. We rushed to the emergency room and we found on the X-ray a stone in his bladder that occupied the entire cavity. He was operated on in emergency despite the poor results of the blood tests. Little one, what have you been through in the past? 😭 He survived the surgery, but he has been left with urinary incontinence. VALOR must have suffered the unimaginable in that state he was in and seeing that nobody lent a helping hand to help him, it is so painful, so painful the indifference of some human beings!... Now he is looking for a forever home where nothing matters, just that he receives all the love he deserves. Enfermedades: Leishmania controlada, incontinencia urinaria. Como en muchas ocasiones, una noche, recibimos un whatsapp pidiendo ayuda para difundir un animal que se encontraba en la calle en Cádiz… Pero al ver las fotos nos quedamos en shock… ¡Cómo NADIE había recogido a ese pobre animal! Su estado era alarmante, no podíamos creerlo. Inmediatamente movimos cielo y tierra para intentar localizarlo y ponerlo a salvo, cobraban 30€ por que alguien fuera a buscarlo… A la mañana siguiente VALOR, como le llamamos, ya estaba ingresado en urgencias en un hospital de Jerez. Su estado era lamentable… pulgas, garrapatas, costras por todo el cuerpo, para más desgracia positivo a leishmania y con una espiga clavada en él ojo que le va a ocasionar perderlo. Nada más llegó a Madrid con nosotros fuimos directos al veterinario donde tras dos largas horas de peluquería, dejó atrás las costras, pulgas y garrapatas que le producían un picor insoportable. Comenzó a tomar su medicación para la leishmania y ese día ya durmió calentito y sin dolor en su hogar de acogida, donde a los pocos días le vieron con dolor y sangre en orina. Corrimos a urgencias y nos encontramos en la radiografía con una piedra en la vejiga que abarcaba toda la cavidad. Fue operado de urgencias a pesar de que las analíticas no eran buenas. ¿Pequeño que te han hecho en el pasado? 😭 Superó la operación, pero le ha quedado una incontinencia de orina. VALOR ha debido sufrir lo inimaginable en ese estado que estaba y viendo que nadie le tendía una mano para ayudarle, es tan penoso, ¡tan dolorosa la indiferencia de algunos seres humanos!… Ahora busca un hogar definitivo donde nada importe ya, solo que le den todo el amor que merece.
