Wilson is a sheepdog mix who desires a home without cats with dog-experienced people. With other dogs, Wilson decides whether to befriend them based on sympathy; sometimes he prefers not to. His charming, sweet gaze can be deceiving: Wilson needs people who can give him a clear structure to orient himself by. If he doesn't get that, he makes many decisions himself—among them, which people in his environment are welcome and which are not. If he can orient himself by his primary caregiver, he settles in well and constantly seeks reassurance. In new situations, he is still very excited; here, he still needs to learn how to relax. His impulse control is also not at its best. Currently, we are working on helping him wait longer than just a second. ;) In general, a quiet home with little commotion or visitors, where Wilson doesn't have to make many decisions, would be ideal for Wilson. Could Wilson be a good fit? Then please fill out our inquiry form.
