Egy 4 hónapos Border Collie keverék kölyök vagyok, aki egy nem vétkem miatt keres új otthonra. Mindenki azt mondja, hogy nagyon kedves fiú vagyok, és most remélem, hogy találok egy családot, akik segítenek abban, hogy a lehető legjobb társává váljak. Szeretek játszani, felfedezni és néha egy kis ugrálást, ezért szükségem van egy biztonságos kertre, 6 láb magas kerítéssel, ahol biztonságosan elfogyaszthatom a kutyák energiáját és élvezhetem magam. 11 évesnél idősebb gyermekekkel élhetek, akik megértik, hogy még mindig tanulok, és saját helyemre, határaimra és pihenésre van szükségem, amikor elegem van az izgalomból. Lehet, hogy egy másik barátságos kutyával és esetleg egy macskával is élhetek, feltéve, hogy megfelelően bemutatjuk őket, és jól kijönnek. Mivel még mindig kölyök vagyok, szeretném, ha minden időt egyedül töltenék, nagyon fokozatosan vezetnének be. I’m a 5-month-old Springer Spaniel and I’m a lovely, sweet boy who is always ready to get involved in whatever is going on! I’m a very playful little chap and absolutely LOVE my toys. I’ve got plenty of energy and I’m a clever boy too, so I really enjoy having things to keep my brain busy. I’m currently going through my mouthy puppy stage, so I’m looking for a home who understands that puppies can be hard work and knows how to manage those typical puppy behaviours. Someone who has owned a puppy before would be ideal, and experience with Springers would be a big bonus, as I’m going to be a busy boy who will need plenty of exercise, training and enrichment as I grow. I like to be involved in everything, including helping with the cooking! My foster carers have discovered that I’m rather interested in whatever might be happening on the kitchen counters, especially if there’s food involved. I can be a bit of a counter surfer, so I’ll need someone who understands how to manage this and can help me learn some better habits. One of the biggest things my new family will need to help me with is building my confidence. I can be a little unsure of new things and I haven’t had much experience of the big wide world yet, including meeting other dogs. I can sometimes be a bit worried in new situations, so I’ll need someone who is patient and happy to take things at my pace, rather than expecting me to be confident straight away. Helping me experience lots of new things in a calm and positive way will be really important, and my new family will need to put time into gradually building my confidence with the world around me. Because of this, access to nice, quiet walking areas would be ideal for me to begin with. Somewhere where I can explore without being overwhelmed would give me the chance to start learning that new experiences aren’t so scary. As I become more confident, my family can gradually introduce me to more of the world and help me develop into the happy, confident adult Springer I have the potential to be. For now, I’d like to be the only pet in my new home, although I could potentially live with small caged animals as long as they were completely out of my reach. I’m fully housetrained, although I might have the odd accident when I first move home while I get used to a new routine. I’m also crate trained and my crate is my safe space. I sleep downstairs in my crate and have been really settled overnight in foster. I’ll need a secure garden with 6ft fencing where I can have a good explore and burn off some of my puppy energy. I should probably mention that I’ve also discovered I quite enjoy a spot of digging, so my new family might need to keep an eye on their flower beds! I haven’t been left for long periods before, so this is something that will need to be introduced gradually once I’m completely settled in my new home. With the right routine and plenty of time to settle, there is potential that I may eventually be able to stay home alone for around 2 hours using my crate as my safe space. I’m a gorgeous, clever and fun-loving puppy with lots to learn, and I’m looking for someone who is ready for all the fun, chaos and hard work that comes with raising a young Springer. I’ll need a family who understands that I’m still very young and that building my confidence will be a big part of helping me grow into the happy, confident boy I’m meant to be. In return, I’m sure I’ll keep you very busy and give you plenty of reasons to smile! 🐶
