Sono un cucciolo di 4 mesi di incrocio di Border Collie che cerca una casa per sempre per mia colpa. Tutti dicono che sono un ragazzo molto dolce e ora spero di trovare una famiglia che possa aiutarmi a crescere nel miglior compagno possibile. Essendo ancora molto giovane, ho molto da imparare sul mondo che mi circonda. Avrò bisogno di una casa paziente e comprensiva che riconosca che sono ancora un bambino e avrò bisogno di supporto con l'addestramento alla casa, le buone maniere di base e l'apprendimento di tutte le cose che i buoni cani devono sapere. L'addestramento positivo basato sul premio mi aiuterà a costruire la mia fiducia e a capire cosa ci si aspetta da me. Con tempo, costanza e molta incoraggiamento, prometto che lo risolverò tutto! Mi piace giocare, esplorare e fare qualche corsa, quindi avrò bisogno di un giardino sicuro con una recinzione di 6 piedi dove posso bruciare in sicurezza un po' di energia del cucciolo e divertirmi. Potrei vivere con bambini di 11 anni e più che capiscono che sto ancora imparando e avrò bisogno del mio spazio, dei miei limiti e del mio tempo per riposare quando ho avuto abbastanza eccitazione. Potrei essere in grado di vivere con un altro cane amichevole e forse anche un gatto, a condizione che ci presentiamo correttamente e che andiamo d'accordo. Poiché sono ancora un cucciolo, vorrei che qualsiasi tempo trascorso da solo fosse introdotto molto gradualmente. Avrò bisogno di aiuto per imparare che essere da solo è sicuro e niente di cui preoccuparsi, quindi la mia nuova famiglia dovrebbe essere preparata a costruirlo lentamente e al mio ritmo. Se stai cercando un giovane cucciolo amorevole, intelligente e affettuoso da accogliere nella tua famiglia, potrei essere la scelta perfetta. Tutto ciò di cui ho bisogno è un po' di pazienza, guida e tanto amore e ti ricompenserò con un'amicizia per tutta la vita.

I’m a 5-month-old Springer Spaniel and I’m a lovely, sweet boy who is always ready to get involved in whatever is going on! I’m a very playful little chap and absolutely LOVE my toys. I’ve got plenty of energy and I’m a clever boy too, so I really enjoy having things to keep my brain busy. I’m currently going through my mouthy puppy stage, so I’m looking for a home who understands that puppies can be hard work and knows how to manage those typical puppy behaviours. Someone who has owned a puppy before would be ideal, and experience with Springers would be a big bonus, as I’m going to be a busy boy who will need plenty of exercise, training and enrichment as I grow. I like to be involved in everything, including helping with the cooking! My foster carers have discovered that I’m rather interested in whatever might be happening on the kitchen counters, especially if there’s food involved. I can be a bit of a counter surfer, so I’ll need someone who understands how to manage this and can help me learn some better habits. One of the biggest things my new family will need to help me with is building my confidence. I can be a little unsure of new things and I haven’t had much experience of the big wide world yet, including meeting other dogs. I can sometimes be a bit worried in new situations, so I’ll need someone who is patient and happy to take things at my pace, rather than expecting me to be confident straight away. Helping me experience lots of new things in a calm and positive way will be really important, and my new family will need to put time into gradually building my confidence with the world around me. Because of this, access to nice, quiet walking areas would be ideal for me to begin with. Somewhere where I can explore without being overwhelmed would give me the chance to start learning that new experiences aren’t so scary. As I become more confident, my family can gradually introduce me to more of the world and help me develop into the happy, confident adult Springer I have the potential to be. For now, I’d like to be the only pet in my new home, although I could potentially live with small caged animals as long as they were completely out of my reach. I’m fully housetrained, although I might have the odd accident when I first move home while I get used to a new routine. I’m also crate trained and my crate is my safe space. I sleep downstairs in my crate and have been really settled overnight in foster. I’ll need a secure garden with 6ft fencing where I can have a good explore and burn off some of my puppy energy. I should probably mention that I’ve also discovered I quite enjoy a spot of digging, so my new family might need to keep an eye on their flower beds! I haven’t been left for long periods before, so this is something that will need to be introduced gradually once I’m completely settled in my new home. With the right routine and plenty of time to settle, there is potential that I may eventually be able to stay home alone for around 2 hours using my crate as my safe space. I’m a gorgeous, clever and fun-loving puppy with lots to learn, and I’m looking for someone who is ready for all the fun, chaos and hard work that comes with raising a young Springer. I’ll need a family who understands that I’m still very young and that building my confidence will be a big part of helping me grow into the happy, confident boy I’m meant to be. In return, I’m sure I’ll keep you very busy and give you plenty of reasons to smile! 🐶
