Freya egy nagy keresztezett fajta, kb. tíz éves. Még nem tesztelt macskával. Élhet más kutyákkal vagy egyedül (domináns lehet a csapatban). Tiszteletteljes gyerekek 12-es kortól. Egy pár évvel ezelőtt megtalálták a romániai Crivatu büszkékben, és a közelben lévő magánállomásra vitték. Nyugodt és stabil lány, aki még mindig élvez rövid sétákat. Jól keveredik minden kutyával, de elég domináns tagja a csapatnak. A menhely fiataljait rendben tartja kemény, de igazságos módon, és mind szeretik és tisztelik érte. Boldogan élhet egyedül is otthon. Freya szeretetteljes és hűséges társ, aki megfelel valakinek, aki tapasztalt nagy fajtával, aki meg tudja kényeztetni az idősenek korában. Idős kutyák (10+ éves): 150–250 font (az életkor és az egyéni igényektől függően). Fogadási Feltételek és Részletek Amikor egy Safe Rescue kutya fogadását végezitek, kötelező használni egy csúszós kengyelt. Ez biztosítani fogja a kutyád biztonságát: az új kutyád ideges lesz, és nem fog bízni benned, és nem tudod, milyen helyzetek zavarnák meg a kutyádat. Ha a kutyád pánikba esik, akkor a csúszós kengyel az egyetlen módja annak, hogy megakadályozd, hogy kiszökjön (több kutya képes kiszabadulni egy nyakörzből és/vagy páncélból). Legalább 3-6 hónapra lesz szükség, hogy a kutya megszokja a környezetét, és teljesen megismerd a kutyádat (hosszabb ideig ideges kutyák esetén). A csúszós kengyelnek mindenképpen használni kell ezen a megszokási időszak alatt. Még akkor is, ha a kutya megszokta, biztonságosabb megmaradni a csúszós kengyellel olyan helyzetekben, ahol a kutya félni tud (pl. új helyek látogatása, ismeretlen emberek között, a házi orvosnál), és olyan helyzetekben, ahol váratlan trigger események történhetnek (pl. tűzijáték estéken). Freya is a large crossbreed aged around ten years old. Not yet cat tested. Can live with or without other dog. Respectful children 12 plus. She was found in bushes in Crivatu Romania a few years ago and was taken to the private shelter nearby. She is a calm and steady girl who enjoys walks and walks nicely to heel and doesn’t pull. She mixes well with the other dogs in her foster home and generally ignores most dogs she meets outdoors. She isn’t keen on ‘in your face’ dogs so wouldn’t want to live with a lively dog, she prefers peace and quiet. She could also live happily as the only dog in the home. Freya is an affectionate and loyal companion who would suit someone with large breed experience who can pamper her in her twilight years. She would be ok with respectful children aged twelve plus. She’s well behaved and clean in the home. She enjoys fuss but isn’t demanding. Freya loves getting into the car and settles down calmly as she knows it means ‘walkies’ in the woods/park. Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Terms & Conditions When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
