Pippa egy kisebb, wipet típusú keresztszárnyú, kb. öt éves. Pippát Romániából hozták a UK-ba egy magánszemély által kiskutyaként, aki aztán nem tudott megbirkózni vele, ezért megkérték, hogy beavatkozzunk. Megújult és 2020-ban újra elvállalták, de időközben visszakerült a gondozásunkba, mivel egy kapcsolati összeomlás miatt senki sem tudta elfogadni. Pippa viselkedésben is hasonlít a wipetre. Egy kicsit agyagos és feszül az új emberek körében, de nagyon szeretetteljes a családjához. Csoportban játékos, de kissé parancsolgató kisebb kutyákkal, ezért otthon kell lennie egy másik, ugyanolyan méretű vagy nagyobb kutyával. Pippa szereti a gyerekeket, de a nyugtalannága miatt jobb, ha nem él egész időben velük. Látogató gyerekekkel rendben van. Pippa szereti sétáit és a kijárást. Pippa gondozta Norwich Norfolk-t. Ha érdekel, küldj üzenetet vagy hívj 9:00-17:00 között hétfő-csütörtökön, vagy 9:00-16:00 között szombaton. Állatorvosi költségek 2025. december 1-jétől: Kutyák már sterilizáltak és minden felnőtt kutya: 430 £. Nem sterilizált kutyák, spay/neuter szerződéssel: 530 £ (Azonnal 100 £ visszatérítést kapsz, amint elküldöd nekünk a sterilizálás bizonyítékát). Idős kutyák (10+ év): 150–250 £ (az életkor és az egyéni igényektől függően). Az átvételi politika: Amikor egy Safe Rescue kutyát fogadsz, kötelező a csúszóhurok használata. Ez biztosítja a kutyád biztonságát: az új kutyád ideges lesz, és nem fog bizalmat tanúsítani irántad, nem tudod, milyen helyzetek zavarhatják meg a kutyádat. Ha a kutyád pánikba esik, akkor a csúszóhurkot kell használnod, hogy megakadályozd, hogy elmenjen (még sok kutyának sikerül kiszabadulni a nyakörvből és/vagy mellényből). Legalább 3–6 hónapra lesz szükség ahhoz, hogy a kutya megnyugszon, és megismerd teljesen (hosszabb ideig tart ideges kutyák esetén). A csúszóhurkot mindenképpen alkalmazni kell ebben az időszakban. Még akkor is, ha a kutya megnyugodott, biztonságosabb a csúszóhurkot használni olyan helyzetekben, ahol a kutya félni lehet (pl. új helyeken, ismeretlen emberek közelében, az állatorvosnál), és olyan helyzetekben, ahol váratlan trigger-események történhetnek (pl. tűzijáték idején). Ideges kutyák többnyire mindig viselhetnek csúszóhurkot biztonsági mentőként. A csúszóhurkot biztonsági eszköznek kell tekinteni, sohasem szabad képzőanyagként használni. A hurkot a kutya nyakára tett nyomás káros. Ha a kutya húzza a hurkot, akkor tanácsot adhatunk a károsodás elkerülésére alkalmas edzési módszerekkel. Mikor a kutya megnyugszik, érdemes figyelembe venni a mellény használatát (együtt a csúszóhurkával), ha a kutya kényelmesen viseli a mellényt. A legtöbb mellény nem elkerülhetetlen, de a bordák hátsó oldalán lévő övvel ellátott mellények (pl. Ruffwear Webmaster vagy Perfect Fit mellények) biztosabbak. Could live with calm and placid dogs but would also love to be the only dog in the home. Adult only home required. Pippa was found by the side of a road in Romania. She was all alone and covered in ticks. She was rescued and taken to a safe shelter and is now here in the UK looking for a new home. Pippa is a very submissive girl and gives indication that she may have been beaten in her previous life. She is afraid of the safe rescue cat and won’t even look at him. She mixes well with calm and placid dogs but would also love to be the only dog in the home. She would like a quiet and peaceful home where she can fully relax at last. Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Terms & Conditions When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate.
