Meet Bobby, a gentle little soul who is slowly discovering that the world can be a kind place. Bobby arrived at Battersea with six of his siblings from another rescue, so unfortunately we have no information about their previous history. Having missed out on so many early life experiences, everything is still new to Bobby, but with patience and reassurance his sweet, affectionate personality is beginning to shine. Bobby has been staying with a foster family who have reported that though he took some time to warm up, he loves being close to his people and will happily curl up beside you once he feels safe. He is looking for a calm home of with older teenagers or adults only in a quiet area. He's looking for experienced owners who can help him build confidence at his own pace, with a private garden and quiet walks when he's ready. Bobby will need to be the only dog in the home, where he can enjoy all the love and attention. Due to his discomfort and some reactions we have seen on site and on foster around other dogs, he will need to be kept on lead in public going forward. Prospective owners will need to speak to one of our Vets about his medical considerations and ongoing costs prior to meeting him, as he has had some medical interventions during his stay which have result in some loss of hearing and he will have to be on medication long-term. If you have a kind heart, realistic expectations, and the time to help a nervous dog blossom, Bobby could become the most loyal companion you could wish for.
